Back then, my dad will buy us SNES under the condition we came under top 3 in our class. That was my motivation for studying so hard. When final exam results were announced I was ranked 7th or 8th, i cried so hard. But dad still bought us and we played Super Mario all night all weekend. Those were the days.😭☺️

We weren't rich. I remember my mom used to work her ass off and did her best+more to get me and my sis good gifts whenever our birthdays, christmas, good report card etc came along. My first console was a knock off NES. Me and my sis didn't care. It played the carts we could afford to buy (Duck Tales and Astyanax come to mind) and had loadsa fun. I love her to death. To be fair to those ripoffs, the mainstream gaming market - and the whole software market in general - is full of anti-consumer and anti-competition practices. If we buy a PS4 exclusive title, for example, we can't play it on any other device but a PS4, instead of being able to freely enjoy our purchase on any machine that is physically able to run it. We have gotten used to this state of affairs, but the fact that companies like Microsoft (both with Windows and Xbox), Sony, Apple, Nintendo, Adobe and so on are able to get away with creating exclusive platforms and making content reserved to these platforms has created a situation that is detrimental to both us as individual consumers as well as to other businesses who wish to enter this market. So naturally, it creates a lawfully gray area that the competition made up of emulators and ripoff consoles (including hackintoshes) are forced to navigate.

I don't think the RG350 really belongs in this list. It's not pretending to be anything it's not. It's not imitating or claiming to be a well-known console, it's a handheld emulator, exactly what it claims to be. The fact that it comes without games is a good thing. If it came with original games it would be illegal, supplying a few indie games would have been cool, but not required in any sense of the word. The HDMI not working yet is a bit of a fail, that's certainly true. As far as these handhelds go (and there are MANY), the RG350 is one of the better ones and I certainly would not call it fake.
