Great review! I want to rig a tarp shelter over the front of the tent. Is there anywhere to tie a tarp on externally at high level (then I’d use poles where it would extend out? Can you recommend a tarp that could work? Want to extend the outdoor living area a bit! Thank you!

Looking to replace an old favorite Moss tent. Nothing wrong with the tent, it was the poles that gave out. :( This tent with its warranty is a great find. Love the headspace and the design. Thanks for the review.

Great rewiev. Btw This dome shape on sides is wierd. Isnt it to short? Can the rain reach the inner tent ?

Glad you enjoyed the review. I've been in this tent during many rain storms and have never gotten a drop of water inside. The dome design seems effective

Need a new tent for my family this year. We are looking at 6 person tents (5 people + dog). We’ve had the rei basecamp 4 forever. It’s been a great tent so we are also looking at that one. 2 years since your review. Do you still like the msr? Also we camp a lot and live in the Rockies.

I still love the MSR. Used it a few weeks back during a weekend of heavy rain and stayed bone dry. All of the components are holding up well so far. Hope whatever you go with works out well for you!

Had eyes on the Nemo wagontop6 but it’s a single wall design… I’m now leaning towards this Habitude 6 or the BigAgnes bunkhouse 6 2 adults 3 dogs

Saw a video about MSR Zoic 2 was not waterproof at all. Do you have any issue with the waterproof with this tent? I just ordered a MSR Habtitude today, not sure if I should return it after seeing that video.

I've used this tent during a few storms with extended, heavy rain and haven't had any issues so far. Hope you have the same experience!

Just curious what size mat you use for the vestibule?

Hello, Has anyone tried to set up the Habitude 6 on their own to go solo camping? Is it possible without help? Thank you!!
@WildernessIsBliss2 жыл бұрын
It can be done solo for sure but the poles are long so it can be a little tricky. Might be challenging for a shorter person when connecting the tent to the poles in the center of the dome. Living Survival has a great demonstration of setting it up alone in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKmQqox3i9CYb6s. Good luck!

The reason it does not contain a footprint is the same reason you will not find any other quality tent providing a footprint for free: Industry standard and another revenue maker.

No doubt! It's a practice I disagree with but I get it.

My 15d blue mongar 2 had one for free. My friend just tried to buy one though a few days ago, and it wasn’t quite the same tent anymore. I told her to return it. We compared the two tents in my living room. She had plastic buckles where the older one i had was aluminum. Her ridge line was too tight, mine fit my poles great. Her mat was too big for the tent. mine fit fine. And my tent bag had two openings for better protection while stored. And even one of the hubs was not quite bore out enough for the pole to go in. Anyway I can’t recommend the mongar 2 20d in purple, but mine in a 15d in blue from 2021 was and still is spectacular for 160.

What is package size / weight?
@WildernessIsBliss3 жыл бұрын
The packed size is 23in × 10in. That's one of my favorite things about this tent.
@Alien27992 жыл бұрын
I wonder how it would perform in really hot weather. Any experience with that? I have seen some tents where the fly covers only the mesh on the tent. There is no reason for the fly to go all the way down. Less ventilation and extra weight too.
@WildernessIsBliss2 жыл бұрын
Low to mid 80s is as hot as I've used it. It's design sacrifices some airflow for more protection from heavy rain but theres nothing worse than a leaky tent! I'll add an update once I've camped In a little hotter weather
@gerardhaubert82103 жыл бұрын
Did I hear him say the tent is 10x8 with a 4x8 vestibule …112 sq ft…huge
@WildernessIsBliss3 жыл бұрын
Its definitely spacious! The vestibule is a trapezoid so I think it comes out to 104 square feet total. Crazy for how light it is and how little room it takes in the car.
