I love how Jinx's close-quarters fighting style is essentially just "little sister throwing a tantrum." She says so much in her body language which just underscores how tragic that fight actually is.

Regarding Ambessa's decisions in the story so far: yes, she was behind the attack on the memorial because the remaining council members agreed (2 to 1) to not use Hex-tech in their upcoming invasion of Zaun. You'll notice she gives her henchman a look after they made that decision (also, the camera holds on her when Mel mentions that someone must have helped Renni attack the memorial). Her driving motivation since she arrived in Piltover has been to weaponize Hex-tech and demonstrating the persistent threat of the undercity directly led to the creation of more Hex-tech weapons. Secondly, she nominates Caitlyn over Salo because of something he unknowingly let slip; that the Kirraman name carries considerable clout, likely more than his. Add to this Caitlyn's ability, her grief which is susceptible to manipulation, and her newfound hatred of Zaun, and Ambessa decides that Caitlyn is the better choice to get what she wants.

Vi was concerned about the child because she knows what happened when her and Jayce attacked Siclo's factory and the kid dies there. His mother took revenge. So Vi knows that this situation would only fuel more hate and cause more to rise up.

i also see the situation with vi-cait she got in the way to defend the child yes but mostly she was doing to stop cait for losing herself and from "changing" bc she still want her to be that kind and honest person she was in season 1

I see it as, vi was ready to kill “jinx” before the fight because she finally disassociated powder from jinx, but that was before she knew a little kid cared for her so much to jump inbetween them so when that happened it made vi see powder might still be in there and that she isn’t just a crazy killing machine now. That or she didn’t want to “orphan” another kid. Also Isha’s head is right in line with jinx’s so even if Caitlyn didn’t think she would miss the shot and shot jinx it could still very well also hit the kid via collateral.

Nah, Vi said "IF you see an opening, take the shot". She absolutely did not say take it no matter what. There's a difference. Watch it again if you don't believe me. Why do so many people who watch this show make up their own version in their heads instead of just paying attention to the show you're watching.

@@miiiiikeee Yeah? well, two things. 1. If Caitlyn is such a crack shot and "can't miss" why did her first shot only take off Jinx's finger? She had an opening then. 2. Who in their right mind, regardless of the circumstances, is going advocate shooting to kill someone with a little girl sitting on the targets' chest? I don't care who you are, or what level of marksmanship you have, if there is an innocent person in that close of proximity to your target and they AREN'T a hostage, you back off. Trust has nothing to do with it. I don't know if you were watching the same show as I was, but in the version of Arcane Season 2, Episode 3 that I saw, Caitlyn Kiramman watched a microfiche presentation of her family's ventilation system that was built to FILTER OUT the grey in Zaun and provide clean air for the populace. In the episode I saw, directly after that, Caitlyn led her fuck tactical team down into the fissures and used her family's ventilation system as a chemical warfare agent all under the guise of "covering their movements" into the Undercity. Heenot called it out. Jinx called it out. Heenot was a victim of it and Smeech saw it happen first hand at Margot's brothel. The montage showed Caitlyn and her team running amuck down there and pretty much fucking up anything that got in their way with extreme prejudice. She even pulled her gun on Heenot when he wasn't answering her fast enough. In my estimation all of those actions make her unhinged and unfit to lead. Why do you think Loris turned and left during her impromptu coronation by Ambessa at the end. Could it be that Loris, unlike Maddie and all of the rest in attendance, saw what Caitlyn had turned into and what Ambessa was orchestrating? My point is Caitlyn was willing to do ANYTHING to get done what she thought she needed to get done, no matter who she hurt or killed in the process. She had no problem destroying her family's legacy with what is ostensibly a war crime. You remove that person from their mission, you don't let them continue. So, MY point still stands. If a person shows lack of sound judgement, and let's their anger guide them to insidious and callous action, then it doesn't matter what their skill set is, you walk away like Loris did or stop her like Vi.

It’s hilarious how people are clutching their pearls, when Caitlyn gets her hands dirty in warfare. Piltover was catching L’s left and right from being attacked with rockets, soldiers hawked up on Shimmer, chainsaws etc., but the second Caitlyn turns the tables by smoking them out…..it’s “how dare she”? Also, am I the only one understanding Caitlyn’s turn? If my mother was murked by someone running free and continually causing chaos, you best believe I’m out for blood!

I do not want to say that this is a bad take, cause I try not to think that way. So I will say that I disagree with this take to the max. Caitlyn made a whole big speech about going by the book and how renegade actions cost her mother. Yet the gassing of civilians populations and the endangerment of children for someone you already have physically pinned down. Caitlyn is just as dangerous as Jinx in this moment. Cops are not supposed to have it easy, rules do hamstring them, and for good reason. At the end of this episode all I saw were two terrorists, Cait and Jinx.
