Does the Xbox 360/PC mode allow this to be used natively on Xbox 360? Or is that just how they labelled Xinput mode? I haven't been able to find anything online about it, but it'd be cool if it worked out of the box on both the 360 AND PS3, basically making it the gamepad equivalent of the Qanba Q4.

Is it the one with the analog L stick also? If it is that’s a great one, the sensitivity settings are already maxed out outta the box though, so if you wanted more you won’t get it. Interesting, appreciate the feedback. I'll perhaps need to revisit it
@howdydoodydoo3631 Жыл бұрын
@@RushGI have found that the octa took time to get used to but it is really okay once you do. The thing is is it requires a weirdly hard press at first. People think you can adjust the sensitivity and you can, but that’s only relative. I suggest just making it max sensitivity and then for up, up diag etc make it a couple lower if you are prone to accidental jumps. What finally got me to get good with it is the other day I put a piece of micro fiber cloth on my thumb as it was hot in house. This changed everything. Suddenly i could slide my thumb super super easy while pressing firmly. My octa woes were because if I pressed firmly, my thumb would stick. Thar being said I want to try this pad just because. I almost got a vitrix bfg just to try, glad I didn’t cuz any controller that cost $180 and has no replacement parts is a huge money sink.

First time I've heard of this controller, and it looks like a contender I might have to try out. I tried the Hori Octa, and even though I love the clicky buttons, I wasn't a fan of the d-pad as the rigid/sharp edges were demolishing my thumb after using it for about 30 mins. I returned it and got an m30 2.4ghz, and with the Brooks PS5 converter, I was able to get it working. The d-pad on there is a little funky imo and the different sized buttons take some getting use to, button its been my go to lately. Im really considering getting this controller instead! On another note, Retrobit is coming out with a Sega Saturn Pro controller that can supposedly be used on PS5 via Brooks converter as well, I definitely want to try that out.

It's a bummer R2/L2 aren't fully usable, Why not DI and Parry on R1/R2 tho ? To do 3P (or 2P when needed or when you don't need to do 3P anyway) can't you press a combinaison of L/M/P + Heavy on the left shoulder ? That way you still get an easy access to DI/Parry which is useful when done in reaction

I just recently got this and the DPAD for Tekken it's hard to use compared to my Hori Commander. There's no stiffness on the Dpad for movement so you'll accidently press another input when using the Dpad. I'm trying to press super super light but still press the wrong input trying to adapt to it i'll give it another week
@RushG11 ай бұрын
I'm currently using this pad on Tekken and for me it feels great. Better than my PS4 pad and my old Hori. IMO the pros regarding this dpad are how you can feel exactly where you are with your inputs and directions. I do agree it's a "lighter" less stiff dpad but I feel very in control. The dpad doesn't change much after use so this may be what it will be like for the long term for you

What would you say you prefer in this over the 8bitdo m30? M30 is the main one I'm using right now and I just have 2 main issues with it 1. It feels rather easy to accidentally press diagonal jumps especially when doing fast motions, not sure if this is the same case on other dpads though as well as this one in regards to how sensitive it is to doing a diagonal up input if you're pressing the upper part of the left/right cross on the dpad. 2. when trying to do charge inputs or 4-6 inputs, I often get missinput half circle or quarter circle fireball inputs instead which I assume has to do with the middle part of the dpad pressing those directions when I try to quickly go from one side or another, which again I am not sure how common it is on other pads too.
@RushG Жыл бұрын
The 8bitdo M30 is an amazing pad, pretty sure I reviewed it a while back. In all honesty the biggest selling point of the Betop is the fact the d pad is so accurate and well designed. Betop (like the Hori) also has more buttons, specifically two shoulder buttons on each side. This works amazingly well for SF games IMO. If the 8bitdo is your main pad, only thing that you might benefit from with this pad is the button layout, d pads are similar
@Ceruleancast Жыл бұрын
@@RushG Ah okay, I do wonder if it's less susceptible to accidental diagonal up inputs, like how much do you have to press the upper area of the left/right crosses on the dpad to get them compared to the m30? And also wonder what happens when you press the middle section of the dpad?
@Ceruleancast Жыл бұрын
Or also more specifically how easy is it to slide from one direction to another without pressing that middle section? Cause on the m30 it's practically impossible it feels.

@@RushG yah the diagonal jump missinputs have been really annoying on the m30 for me but dunno how other pads compare, tried the octa and ps4 pads I own for quick comparison and they are not as susceptible to it, feels like I have to go out of my way more to get them compared to on the m30.
@spitfiremanlizerd Жыл бұрын
I just bought a BTP-C3 chinese pad. The D-pad is good, but is a little too floaty so you have to make fairly long / big thumb movements to get every direction. The big issue are the buttons. 6 face buttons too small and close together, you can easily hit the ones on the far right accidentally. The shoulder buttons are also too close together, and without grips ergonomics are bad. Overall, this thing can't replace my Logitech F310. I hate this thing because it has terrible build quality. I've gone though 11 since 2010, but the ergonomics and most of all the D-pad are unmatched. Sometimes you need to break the D-pad in a bit and it can be so smooth it almost feels like cheating... but then soon after it gets too mushy and it's hard to feel directions accurately, stuff like dashing becomes awkward. usually the Bpad collaspes or the R1/R2 breaks off. I mostly play Older games with strict inputs like Super turbo and Third strike and this pad is a nessessity. The 710 has bluetooth issues and the battery pack ruins the ergonomics.
