I had a keter table since 2014 and it was awesome until my dog jumped on it this year and snapped one of the legs where it connects to the bottom of table. going to go with toughbilt this go around and see if it lasts 10 years like the keter.

I have Worx, Keter, Pony. The Worx is sturdy to me. Pinched me a couple times when closing it up. The Keter is great and I currently use it as a clothes dryer stand. 😂 The method of clamping is what differs the tables.

I have both the DeWalt and the Keter portable workbenches. The Keter feels the sturdiest and is the one I like to set up for a substantial job. The DeWalt shines for extremely fast setup and put-away. It doesn’t feel like it should be used to support the same weight as the Keter, but it’s easy to move around. The rod/handle that sticks out across one end tends to annoy me, but that bar can also be used to drape rags, cords and tools. Nice video, Bear. I paid just over $50 for the Keter, and about $79 for the DeWalt during various sales a couple years ago.

I have the Husky for the past 4 years and there is nothing folding about it. Having to remove the legs to store it was a complete poo, however it was a good stand alone when there was nothing else. I have a grinder set up on it and that is all it is good for. I later got the Dewalt when it first came out, like maybe 69.00 bucks. It has served me well and I would not trade it for anything. Never fails and is strong as ever. I looked @ the Tough when it came out and when I was ready to pop the 69.00 intro was gone out the door. It is 99.00 this week but I need to get before that sale is over. Great review BTW and educational as always, thanks jb

For decades I have used 2 Black and Decker Workmate tables with the vise-like top surface and so many adjustments. So far no need to retire either of them, but it sure is neat to see others expand on the concept and function of portable work surfaces. If they are still made, I strongly suggest looking at the Work-Mate. It was a brilliant piece of engineering way ahead of its time. Invented in 1961, and found everywhere by the 1970s, it is to me 'gold standard' in its market segment.

Once you've done that it has always be rock solid for me... I know we've had more then 600lbs of people standing on it before without any issues. Mine is the one rated for 1000 lbs...

I've owned the keter table for about 10 years now, got it at Costco for like $60 or something, it's still amazing. I also have owned the DeWalt for about 3 years now, also happy with it but it doesn't really compare to the keter. I recently bought the pony table and it's also amazing, it's much better than the DeWalt, and is very comparable to the keter in quality. It doesn't set up as fast as the keter but it is very strong and have found myself splitting time between the keter and pony, the DeWalt is now last on my list. I got the pony for $130, not sure if I would have gone for it at $170.

Just a DIYer but, love my Pony table. Adjustable legs, more features and beefier clamps system than the Worx table. You can connect another table system to it as well. Light weight but, depending on what your do on it, would be nice to have holes in the feet to anchor it to the floor, if necessary.

My wife bought me the Keter almost ten years ago when it was about $60 at BJ's Wholesale. I recently pulled it out of the basement to use as my main work surface when projects spill from the garage to the driveway. Mine did not come with the bar clamps. It has two or four clamps that slide into and can be locked anywhere along grooves in the table. It also has a pair of holddowns (I don't think that's a word) that can hook into the table and provide downward force on plywood, etc. Worth the money for $60. Not sure if it's the best solution for twice that. The Pony has been tempting me every time I'm logged into HD's web site. The Husky has always looked like they contracted with Keter and forgot to pay for the bottom shelf.

I have an old, like 25 years old, knock off called a Bench N' Vise and I think the legs and other parts have at least twice as much steel as the newer workmates and clones. The worx saw horse/ work table is actually a pretty dang good table. I bought 2 around 6 years ago. But when I got mine you could get 2 for the price of one now. The only thing about the worx I didn't like about it was the little spring levers that let the 2vsides down. They did get hard to push down after about 3 years of use. I used mine every day for 6-8 hours a day. They saw at least 50 or more jobs. I'm probably the only person who actually used them all the time.

I have the Husky table and like it pretty good. It isn't flimsy at all and is very stable. It comes with 4 brackets you can mount to the long sides to hold 2x4s making for a larger surface area. It does have router inserts for the center, and as I stated it is stable. I have used it as a workstation for both assembly of woodworking projects and for firearm cleaning. My main work table, however, is a Black and Decker Workmate 550 that I have modded with inserts for multiple tools, and jobs.

Do wish I could raise them from time to time, but love the convenience of hanging them on a hook when not in use. Thank you Bear, that was a steal of a deal. I have a Black and Decker workmate and a Dewalt table. The Dewalt works much better for me. I haven't heard you or anyone below mention the holes being used for the bar clamps with the removeable ends. They work very well especially on the Dewalt which has so many holes. Just pop off the end of the bar clamp and put the bar through the hole and reattach the clamp end and you are good to go. This gives the Dewalt table a huge advantage with all of the holes and slots.

I have a Husky portable jobsite workbench as well as a Keter folding workbench. The legs on the Husky unit store under the bench top similar to the Keter, but they do not fold out/in automatically. You have to manually screw them on and off the bench when assembling or disassembling. They snap into storage slots when disassembled for easy portability. Another difference is that the Husky unit is rated for 1,500 pounds whereas the Keter unit is rated for 1,000. pounds. Functionally, they are quite similar, but offer different material clamping options. I believe Sam's Club offers the Keter unit for sale on-line at a competitive price.

If I were recommending a folding workbench, it would either be the Festool MFT table or the Bora Centipede. The MFT has 20mm dog holes on 96mm centers. There are a lot of accessories -- dogs, clamps, fences, protractors, etc. -- that work with 20mm dog holes and 96mm spacing. In addition, the MFT table is skirted with an aluminium extrusion that has t-slots. There are a lot of accessories made for these t-slots (and lots that you can make yourself). This makes the MFT table very versatile. The Bora Centipede is also very versatile. The Centipede takes a little more time to set up and isn't as stable as the MFT. However, it comes in more sizes and you can get with or without dog holes. And the dog holes can be had in either 20mm or 3/4" varieties. (Get the 20mm version. There are more accessories made for that size dog holes.) I can also recommend Kreg's ACS project table. I have one. It is built like a tank and is both heavy and heavy duty. Fortunately, it easily folds up and can be wheeled around like a hand truck (but cannot be used as a hand truck). Kreg's table is larger than the MFT, which is a bonus. But, the Kreg table only comes with 3/4" dogs holes. This severely limits its flexibility. It's great for use with the Kreg track saw, which I also have. But, unless you're going to use it with the Kreg track saw, the MFT is a better option. And, believe it or not, this is one time the Festool option is less expensive!

I have the Husky workbench. I use it for firearms mods. I attach the Real Avid vise to a 2x4 and then use clamps to attach that to the workbench. I looked at the dewalt and toughbilt but it didn't work where I was going to put the clamps. All in all, It has worked very well. Yes, I wish I didn't have to screw/unscrew the legs. but I have limited space to store everything so being able to break everything down helps alot.

My recommendation? The Bora Centipede. You can get multiple sizes in multiples of 2'x4', the weight capacity of even the smallest model is a lot higher (2500lbs on the 2'x4' model, up to 6000 on the 4'x8', versus 1000 on the DW or Keter), and the tops are modular, so you can buy exactly what you need or build your own. Plus they have options of them being 30 or 36" high with a riser accessory to add 6" on. You can also use them without tops for sheet goods or as a sawhorse, and they come with x-cups for holding 2X material.

Table is nice, just watch your hands when you open and close it.putting the clamps back in the storage area you have to folds the legs a little bit for the clamps to lock in. And the weight. Other than I love it. Still keeping an eye for it at lowes for a 2nd one. Love your videos! I'm a beginner, zero clue on building things and tools! I learned a lot from your vids! I've had the DeWalt for years and have always liked it, but I never really looked at any of the other tables. I actually have the Husky too, which isn't bad, pretty sturdy, but isn't real quick to set up with the legs. If you can leave it up, like I do with a chop saw it's a pretty decent table. Back to the DeWalt, as I have gotten older and the table has gotten older, I am finding it more and more difficult to open. It has become a challenge. Maybe it just needs some old. It also bows down in the middle too, which I didn't realize until I saw a KZbinr point it out. Mine also cracked across the top at some point. If I'm going to buy a new table down the road, I will go with the Toughbuilt. It seems to be a better choice now than the DeWalt. I have the Toughbuilt tool bag system and love it.

They are very sturdy and the clamps can be used in a multitude of positions. I have to make my shop "foldable" because it shares space in the garage with cars and big dinner parties with my family. I have both Keters, the DeWalt, a Workmate 200, Worx Pegasus, and the Worx Sidekick. Out of all these, by far, the one I use the most is the Worx Sidekick. Funny thing is that the Worx Sidekick was by far the cheapest of them all at $29.99 (on sale back in the days before Biden), it's the most basic, most compact, then most portable, and the lightest (I regret not buying a couple more of the Sidekicks at that price).

The Pony table comes with two clamps, but it has four slots for clamps. Get two more clamps and it will accommodate some very large glue-ups.

Trying to get a portable table to wash car mats. Carpet and rubber. What do you suggest

I think they could all do car mats. I don’t think that’s gonna be all that taxing

I got the pony jorgenson one for fathers day last year. that thing kicks ass! it's not very light but its super sturdy and the clamping options are very convenient. adjustable height, but doesn't get very tall. wish it could be set an inch or two higher, but despite that i'd definitely recommend it!

I have that hart version to. Really glad I got it when I did. Was always wanting more than one and boom they're gone. Also that cheaper basic table they offer now is also made by keter. Just FYI. I wouldn't be too concerned on the quality. Have checked it out tho. Don't like how the legs have to be fully removed to put together the dang thing. The fold up legs on the kart and keters are amazing.

The Husky table looks virtually the same as my Hart tables that I picked up from Walmart for under $45 each. At that price they were a steal. Not as useful as the Keter quick folding table, but it works great as an assembly or project table (saves my arthritic back), but not so much as a power tool stand like table saws. I have used it as a base for my smaller miter saw, but only for shorter trim work. I wouldn't pay $100 for the Husky table, but if you can find it on sale for say $50, it would be worth it to supplement a more expensive table.

I have a Skil 3100..... and it is a beast. Lots of features and clamps but it weighs too much to take it with me everyday. They just don't make em' like they used to.

I have the Husky. Really like the design. I have two of the HART clones just like the Husky too. The Kreg was generating too much trouble over pinched fingers

Where can I get extra clamps for the Keter table? I have one and love it but have lost the clamps to it. I searched on line and was not able to find anything on these clamps. A substitute that fits in the slots would be fine too.

I have the husky table. I bought it about 5 or 6 years ago. I love it. Its solid. I have not used the router portion yet, i will this summer though. Im pretty sure the table is made by keter as well.

Can it handle a full size table saw? You mentioned it, then immediately switched to miter saw. I think it would support a compact table saw, full size ones usually don't need to be placed on tables...

I have four of the Ketter, great tables, taking them to my shop in Greece. I'm intrigued and maybe replace them with the Toughbuilt, they look steardy, as all Toughbuilt products. I have one of the Husky-like, and they are good! Not as easy to putup/takedown as the Ketter, but solid built, and actually more usable.
