Oh, one more thing...I don't think Rudi's works quite like Cucina's and Chibang with what you can order, but more like the steakhouse. You can do a soup or salad, app, entree and dessert. I could totally be wrong and they've changed it though! If you order two apps instead of a soup or salad they're likely to just be nice and bring it though. Have had them do that in the steakhouse as well. Abed, I am totally with you on the crab! In my top 3 favorite foods in the whole world.

Right! Crab for the win. We were able to order as many apps as we wanted and just limited to two entrees. Could be just for the inaugural sailing. Hate it when policies change like that.

Nice video. I really wish we had the same experience at Rudi's. This was the first time on all our cruises that I wish we had gotten a refund. Even the bread at the beginning was so hard and stale tasting. Every seafood dish I had was overdone and rubbery. My husband's appetizer was the one cooked well, but wasn't seasoned. We got the desserts to go and they put the key lime pie and bread pudding on one plate. I didn't realize that they didn't put any sauces on it and the pie was warm. I was too busy trying to work out the bill. We prepaid before we got on board and were being charged again. Mistakes like that happen though and it was fixed once I pointed it out. The waitress seemed annoyed though. We were extremely disappointed for the whole meal and wished we used that money on Bonsai instead. Im horrible at speaking up when it comes to that though, plus my husband started feeling sea sick so we were just ready to go. Lesson learned.

I kinda feel like they need to step it up at Rudi's. It should be an amazing experience, and the ambience is so beautiful and quirky at the same time, but the majority of youtube content I've seen for it has been meh at best. That was our experience as well. You could have dribbled my lobster on the basketball court it was so overdone. We had plans, so no time to send it back and honestly should have asked for a refund as well. Definitely not worth the upcharge there for sure. Would have easily traded it for another dinner at Emeril's. Now THAT was fantastic!

@DenaInWyo Yes, it was so disappointing. Sorry you had a bad experience too. I did go to Emeril's for breakfast and got a delicious sweet potato waffle when my husband slept in late one morning. I wanted to go back and try more things, but there were so many other options on board. We definitely will next time we sail and completely avoid Rudi's.

Great great videos. New fans here and watching this ahead of our Jubilee cruise has been so much fun. You mentioned a couple times needing to dress up for the steakhouse and that has not been our experience. Shorts and a nice dressy shirt are always appropriate (no flip flops of course).

When we were on Mardi Gras last year, we were in button downs, shorts, and shoes, and the host told us we needed long pants. Maybe things changed? Honestly that was the first time ever someone enforced a dress code on Carnival and we were very surprised

You probably already know, but do be aware that Dover is not London, even though they advertise it that way. It's like saying Galveston is Houston. It's about 70 miles and at LEAST an hour by fast train, and more likely about 2 and a half hours with normal routes. I don't know why they do that on the site, other than maybe Americans understand where London is better than Dover? Neat place though, the cliffs and castle are both incredible if you have time. I'm super jealous..I definitely want to do that one day. I absolutely love England. Looks like they go to some pretty awesome destinations too, no matter which itinerary.

Ya'll crack me up :D Carnival pizza is the bomb, and I really like how they are running it on the Excel ships. That line gets crazy long but it MOVES. The smaller ships take forever and the line is equally crazy. I eat pizza before bed nearly every night on the ship. Don't care who judges lol I'd honestly rather have pizza than a Guy's burger. That Tex Mex looks great! We didn't have a Cici's where I grew up, but the 5 roast beef sandwiches for $5 was a thing and to this day, I have to hit Arby's 3-4 (okay maybe 10) times a year for a fix. Totally low class food, no longer all that cheap, horrible for my health, also don't care. You boast that Cici's all you want! I think we all have a guilty pleasure.
