I really wish more good road car mods existed in assetto corsa. Most quality mods I find tend to be race cars and the road cars I do find are usually old or fairly random (not necessarily bad). I think there needs to be more well made modern sports and supercar mods. The appeal of driving high end, unattainable supercars I believe is something that drives people to sim driving. I also think it would greatly help combat the frustrating forza ripping payware modders people in the community often have to deal with. Anyways, Love the channel, thx for the mods.

Aww man I was all set to point out the GamerMuscle sighting at 0:51 and then you go and tell me later on that it's a skin included in the pack haha I have nearly all of these cars already except have the Leon TCR (which I'll pass on) and the Caterham (which I'm downloading as I type this). cool vid and i agree with all of those mod's as as well as several more . i think i have all of them. my assetto corsa game file size is 146 gigs . it really is the best sim out there for the price. iv'e spent hundreds oh hrs in vr in corsa . and will prob do hundreds more lol. and thank you to all the moders that make my game what it is. from my reliant robin to my fox body pro 2 mustang even a few nasty pick up trucks . 120 tracks roads and parking lots . its the only title you can just f' off in. drive til your board. no rules or track regs , unless you want them.

Hay Alejandro, thanks for the comment. I'm using OBS (Open Broadcast Software), which I use to capture a 1440p monitor output from Assetto Corsa. The other option is to use the Oculus mirror tool (I don't know if there's an equivalent for the Vive etc.) which gives a 1:1 screen mirror from one of the VR lenses.

Le Gold Spy - forgive the stupid question, but did you extract the files from the .zip file first? Normally you should just be able to copy and past all of the files from the content/cars file in the .zip straight into the assetto corsa/content/cars folder.

Yeah I did the exact same thing when I downloaded the williams f1 car but when I try doing the Mclaren from 2007 it doesnt work Gonna try it again today

Le Gold Spy - that's a bit odd. If you keep having trouble, you should give Content Manager a try. One of the more useful features is that it automatically installs mods - you just drag the zip file into CM and it does the hard work for you. You need to host (or join) a server for multi-player races. There are a good handful of tutorials for that.

For whatever reason I just can't get along the IER mod. The cars just don't feel good, I can't really tell you why, but as I was very hyped about them on its release (since everyone praises it), I was then very underwhelmed. I really thought they would drive better. And I would be willing to pay extra money for RSS-level physics.

That's fair Lapin.The IER cars have a definite 'flavour' to their physics, as do the RSS cars. I had a commenter saying pretty much the same last week about the RSS cars on my review of the Saleen. At the end of the day, you either bond with a car, or you don't.

Mmh I see. I come from PC2 and iRacing and RSS cars are - from what I've tried - the closest to these other sims. There's also that very good 2004 SCCA NSX mod.

I've retried the IER mod. I understand why I wasn't liking them. It's indeed a great mod (sound, physics) but the cars are too stiff (both suspensions and general handling) and force feedback is way too canned for my liking. Also, now I'm driving with a Fanatec 2.5, but before that I had a T500RS and the FFB was clipping all over the place with those cars. edit : I know what's wrong with the Oreca steering wheel, it's way too small. (fun fact I do have a Momo mod27c on my Fanatec hub)

Good point about the FFB clipping, I had to adjust the FFB amount down in the app for both the DP and the Oreca. And, looking back at the video, I think you're right about the wheel being too small. How do you find the Mod 27C? It's on my shortlist for when I pull the trigger on a DD setup. Seems like a good compromise between a full wheel and a single seater setup.

Yeah, that would be great - that and the new Aston, though the old URD one isn't bad. There is definitely a big Bentley shaped hole in the AC GT3 field though.

I have Content Manager and a nice Fanatec setup with triple screens, so I watched many videos on how to make it wall work. I do keep seeing mentions of FFBclip but haven’t seen a video of how it works. Do you recommend one or have one?? Thanks.

Hi Jeff - glad you like the videos. I too watch sim racing videos when I'm on the treadmill - it's about the only time I can find for such things these days! FFB clip is useful, but it's functionality is also built into an app called sidekick, which GamerMuscle has done a good video on. It registers FFB levels and warns you about clipping, but also covers a bunch of stuff that's tied into other apps too (tyre data, timing etc.) - an essential app imho.

Ariff, the AI can be a bit wonky with some mod cars, but in general, the better mods are no problem at all. The same goes for tracks.

Hey ChrisPlays YT - Not sure where you're looking, but all of the mods in this video are free if you download them from their creators (links in the video description). If you're specifically talking about the VRC F1 cars, then the MP4/4, Jordan 191, MP4/22, FW31 and FW37 are all free. VRC ask for donations for the "in development" cars as a kind of early access type thing. It's a good arrangement I think.

The splash page you get asking you to pay £10 to get premium access is optional - though I would highly recommend doing so if you can afford it, to support a highly useful community resource.

Hey pkgkrb power - Most mods work pretty well with each other, so there's no need to delete them. That being said, if you are upgrading an old mod to a new version (e.g. V0.8 to V1.1) then it's best practice to completely delete the old version before installing the new one. Hope this helps!
