Agreed. Vital is my go-to VST synth. I’ve tried a couple of U-He synths but they all seem to crash out on my Mac. I’m not sure if I’ve used this one yet but it doesn’t look like it does much more than my stock synths in Reason.

I'm still eyeballing the Deepmind 12D too. I think it is sooo nicely priced and a synth with great sounds. Cool Tyrell video btw!

As a rule I enjoy the u-He stuff quite a lot. As far as free synths go there is a lot of competition out there, and even though this one has a nice tone there are many others that do a better job with the variety of tones available.

I totally agree! uhe has high quality plugins for sure. I can agree with what you're saying as fa as the free options. We have a lot of great sounding free synths available.

i don’t think it’s the best nowadays, surge and vital being two great examples, but i used it a lot many years ago before buying serum

Kind of hate the term best. Trying it out, sounds great, easy to install, runs well on my old rig Another poster suggests Vital is the best free synth, cant disagree, but its another animal of wave table synths, and more recently Thump One a simpler easier wave table synth for specific purposes.
