This exact kind of relationship is what makes a long lasting marriage. My husband and I met and immediately had a connection and deep friendship just like this. We never officially dated, we just hung out all the time and then got married 8 months later. That was just over 20 years ago. We recently were talking and realized NEITHER of us has ever even considered divorce. We like each other. We know the other is on our team and doing everything to benefit both of us. We’ve been through one of us having an addiction, through over a decade of infertility, through depression and anxiety, job losses, losing family members, and we welcomed our third child, our third daughter, a month before we celebrated our 20th anniversary this past summer. I’m still so glad I chose him. He’s still my best friend. I’d choose him over and over again. I hope you guys have a future like ours. I wish a relationship like ours for everyone. But it started with FRIENDSHIP not animalistic attraction. When times get tough, attraction won’t help you get through but friendship will every single time. Many blessings to both of you! Take care! ~Gretchen PS, I’m 5’10” and my hubs is 5’7”. It doesn’t matter to us!

I agree! It was like this with my now boyfriend since we were young. We are not married yet but i dont think either of us consider breaking up as a possibility, the connection is so deep it feels imposible to think about living life without him, and we had that feeling since the beginning of our friendship

As a person married to my best friend, I definitely think their connection reminds me of mine. How they talked about showing up for each other, understanding each other, and the biggest being able to go through conflict and not losing love for the other is beautiful. But I love that the relationship is platonic, and I agree ppl should have more genuine relationships.

SAME! My husband is first and foremost my best friend. We communicate like we are best friends more than we communicate like we are what people would expect of a married couple. And I think that's what makes our marriage so strong
@lazyteima11 ай бұрын
I honestly do feel that they have romantic feelings for each other. You can definitely tell the girl loves the guy romantically when she pauses clips and says things like, "I wanna know how you felt here" or "why were you nervous?". You can definitely see that she's waiting for a specific answer. I don't know about you but opposite gender friends always end up catching feelings 🤣

So much about this makes me smile. As a bi man with women who have become close friends, I feel so seen. The way the two communicate reminds me of the platonic relationships I've established with them. The care and support. Feeling the depth of platonic love and its transition to a label-less love. The way I want them in my life for as long as I live on this planet. In knowing a friendship like this, I've allowed myself to feel like there could be more. And I recognize the rarity in finding connections like these romantic or otherwise. But it's so much more worth in being and loving they way I am currently experiencing it. As Tatiana said, there's no fear associated with moving into something different but an awareness that I have more of me to grow towards, more experiences to have, and the bond is too sacred to unnecessarily challenge it. I'm grateful too for Adrian standing in his identity, despite folks misperceptions on his sexuality, intentions, and history. I know too well the way folks have relayed their assumptions on me without reason. I so appreciate his honesty in wrestling with those feelings and his ultimate resolve to move forward, leaning into confidence in himself and his friendship. Love to yall and all the close hot homies. It's okay to be attracted to your friends. It's okay to really really like your friends. Have boundless love for your friends! Respecting a relationship doesn't look one way, that's for each of us to figure out. I hope more folks will know the rewards of a truly loving, thoughtful platonic relationship. Thanks for living and loving out loud Adrian & Tatiana!

They both seem like the type of ppl one would be lucky to befriend! Two things: 1) im genuinely curious (esp. w/ opposite sex friendships) is there no fear that you can independently find a bond like this with other ppl romantically? It already seems so rare for even friends, your future partners would have to understand & respect your history with eachother & be secure enough not to get jealous.. that's tough these days! 2) imo Adrien has a comfortable balance of masc/fem energy... i used to get bullied for such things so much that i shrunk the more expressive sides of my personality & now maintain a sort of flat affect when i engage w/ others.. it sucks lol. Especially as a black guy, i need an environment that's safe enough to express the full spectrum of my being but im too worried abt the judgment of others. Its refreshing & I'm noticing a societal shift esp. with younger generations. This was a great watch, goodluck with everything & thanks ✌🏾😮

This was a great watch, interessting to see the very wholesome dynamic between such mature people. Sort of showcases the ability to have mutual trust when your bond is strong enough, and the self-awareness of letting it become something more over time, while still wanting to explore other venues and try other things, which is an interessting balance, but one I feel becomes more and more prevalent for the modern generations.

“The energy was good before we got there; it’s us.” This friendship is so deeply gorgeous . Both are so funny and play off each other nicely, but even far beyond that, the intimacy that exists between them🥲 you can tell they have vulnerable conversations like this regularly; the comfort when each of them were saying deeply intimate things to and about each other. It’s true that not many people experience this, whether because of socialization or simply not knowing it’s possible. I value all forms of intimacy so much, and I love this being represented as something that’s unique but also so possible if we allow ourselves to think beyond the very narrow set of possibilities we’ve been taught. Also they’re both just gorgeous [as] individuals!

It makes sense. What I think she is not saying in order to spare the best friend’s feelings is that she doesn’t want to commit to a relationship with a trans man because it creates an entire different set of obstacles when it comes to intimacy and being able to conceive children with one another. Once you learn Adrian is a trans man, her explanation makes sense. Because no one walks away from The One with the certainty she expressed just to experience being with other people. She is not being honest about her feelings.

I do believe they would be a phenomenal couple, but if that’s not their destiny, just having someone in your corner like that is such a blessing. They seem like awesome, funny people truly. Now I HOPE there are only nice comments here cause honestly what’s the point of being lame and rude? And being transphobic in 2023 is weird as hell

I mean I do think y’all do have a very genuine and mature relationship but y’all talk too much about it, if y’all are after a year still abstractly theorizing things instead of just experiencing it, it might just not be, at least for now. And whatever rocks y’all boat but it just also seems that y’all have a strong bond without necessarily having a physical attraction, which again to each their own, but the length, depth and overall pressure of the conversation y’all put on each other seems in the end a little bit redundant. In the end, I wish you both truly the best, y’all seems like very sweet people to be around with!

No joke, you probably DID have COVID. I work in a hospital in the bay area of California and we had community spread (no direct contact with anyone who'd recently traveled to China) in December of 2019. (The Silicon Valley has A LOT of travelers to and from China all the time. Steve Wozniak told everyone he believed he had contracted COVID while on a cruise that visited China in late November of 2019 and that he and his wife came back horrendously ill but no one could identify what kind of "respiratory virus" he had at the time.) I would bet that every major city that gets a lot of international travelers would've gotten at least a handful of cases. By the time we'd developed a test for COVID and could test our hospital staff, some nurses who had tested positive had already traveled to Las Vegas and Houston with a "cold" before they knew what it was. I can also vouch for the fact that almost NONE of this hit the news because Trump sent a CDC head to run our command center to keep it quiet. I've never been more livid in my life. I told everyone I could without getting fired.
