27 with the 18 1.4 is one heck of a combo without it being to heavy. Throw the 50 f2 on AKA mini 90 and you can rock the heck out of a lot of situations.

Nice video and great captures! Could you tell us about the XT5 setting? And more specifically about the focus, your pics looks pretty nice and sharp and curious to know your setting. Have you installed the latest firmware update 4.10? Thanks.

I love this photo set up for travel, too! And just in general as well. I use it for personal and professional work. I did try a Sony A7IV recently for a wedding and I will admit that the autofocus was BONKERS GOOD but the photos came out sooo “clinical” as they say…I literally had to edit away some of the detail to give it the dream-y vibes I can more easily achieve with my Fuji. I will say the native hand grip on the A7IV is also amazing for people like me with average or large hands lol. Can’t wait to finish watching this video- it’s such a fun style to watch 👍

Do you find it better than the Voigtlander 27mm f2.0?

That was generous of you. How to work a great model 101. What wide angle would you select? A 16?

Tokyo is such a great city for photography, always something interesting in view. If you get the chance, it is also worth visiting London, it's a super photogenetic city as well.

That's awesome. I haven't been to London and would love to check it out. I'm fairly new to international travel and need to add some more places to my travels.

Hello John, I am new to photography, and I want to know what you think about using or not using flash in those photos. I’m asking because I noticed the model was in the shadows a couple of times. I’m not talking about using a big setup; I mean using an on-camera flash. Thanks in advance.

Following you and all of your use of the Fujifilm system up and down has been so useful to me. I'm the same way as you, I left a more objectively "superior" system in Sony Alpha as although it was great, I wasn't shooting like I shoot now with Fujifilm (X-T5, X-H2S, GFX100). I LOVE IT!

That’s awesome to hear! It sounds like you’ve found a setup that truly fits your style. I’m so glad Fujifilm has been such a great match for you!

Nice session! Just wondering what’s the rate for professional models in Tokyo to be appropriate? I got the quote for $75 per hour in Hawaii and what did you pay her for this shoot?

I recently debated trying Fuji. I was going to get maybe a used X-E 2 or X-T2. If i liked it I would sell my Nikon Z5 and lenses but ended up purchasing a 40-150mm f2.8 Pro lens for my Olympus E-M1X camera. But i have my eye on some future purchases. Your content, though i dont shoot fuji(yet), is always and has always been sooooo good. Thank you man!
@wesleystreetshotsАй бұрын
The 27mm f2.8 is my go to for street photography. Man sucks the light was so flat! I just put out a YT video about 3 hours ago shooting with it in Seattle in the rain at night with the X-T5 testing the water resistance. It survived! Krispy Kreme is the go to if you're from the south like me! lol.

Have definitely thought about getting this lens, but that price is hard to swallow considering the 23 f/2 can be bought for sometimes half the price. Still tempting though with that form factor...
@jbivphotographyАй бұрын
Very true. And from what I've used (because I used to use the 23 f2 ALL the time) it seems the optics are a little bit better on the 23 f2. So that's a really good point.

Xf18mm f2 is a lot better lens with its wider frame and way cheaper
@jbivphotographyАй бұрын
Yes! I was actually eyeing that lens as well. I think I would like it better for the way I shoot. There were so many cases where the 27 was a little too tight.
@Pixelpeeps-69Ай бұрын
@ 18mm f2 is fast enough on newer Fuji bodies and is super cheap as a used mint condition lens
