For people saying she’s wrong, genuine top grain leather is impenetrable to claws and teeth. If it’s genuine leather, but not top grain, it’s different and not strong enough.

@@neuroisis85 I had some very expensive leather furniture I just got rid of a few weeks ago. The cats running across it destroyed it and couldn't be repaired. I suspect a dog's nails would do the same

​@@donaldholbrook4794 Probably depends on the dog and if and how frequently you clip their claws. My brother has leather couches and a pug and it works great for them. Leather would probably be my cats new favorite scratching material

I can't believe how many idiots recommend buying leather furniture for cats. I've seen what cats can do to leather from just jumping on them.

These idiots stand by their decision to recommend leather for pets. There are many different types of leather, including many types of faux or bonded leather that people are lead to believe is actually real leather. Leather is durable and will withstand the claws of a kitty cat if its the right type of leather.

@@FurnitureAcademy I've seen cat's claw through cinderblock walls before over enough time. Stubborn cats with a clawing habit are the biggest assholes in the world. But no couch will outlive that

@@FurnitureAcademy that's what I mean haha sometimes the problem is the cat 😂. Should accomodate it so it has low access to any furniture and make sure the cat has lots of room and lots of toys/scratchers.
