Great video as always. I would like to see a video on the differences in Aeternum like for example Con 300, in the "old game" it gave you grit, which was a staple of your Soloist build, but now it only gives grit on heavy attacks. Also no one has really talked about the Cutless Key pve zone. Daily quests give you 35 d-blooms (don't make me spell it), and look here, you can buy the epic goldcursed crates 3 for 35 each, each day. So for us, fairly certain I suck at the game just fighting AI, we don't have to fight others who are going to steal our d-blooms.

Thank you for this breakdown. The gearing in this game is a bit overwhelming when you start looking towards optimizing for end game, with the sheer variety of combinations that are possible. I especially appreciate the "perk bucket" description...i did not know about that at all. I would be curious to see a video about gems and rune glass and that aspect of gearing. Maybe its a simple concept but I'd be curious if there were any less obvious secrets to understand about using those while you gear up.

Love these vids, thanks. It is however a bit overwhelming as a new player who just joined NW to try to even create a build. The more time I spend the more confusing it gets e.g. I am looking for a starter PvP build, solo player will focus arena + OPR and love heavy SnS / Spear / Hammer. I found an article with BIS gear which I can aim for but where do I start? One example, I got the stinger from the scorp, guess what, I cannot use it effectivly because I need to do brimstone + the prequest in Elysian wilds. So the question is really, how do i create a starter build so that I can while I farm be a bit more effective in PvP. Comming from ESO.

Hey I have a question if you don't mind a little off topic! If I'm not mistaken, reaching 25 and 50 strength gives you a bonus to the light and heavy attacks. Is this melee only or does it apply to physical ranged damage like the bow? I'm assuming it won't apply to magical weapons like the fire staff.

Im going to use melee as a example, keen, vicious, & thwarting strikes was basically considered BIS the 1st year ish of the game back in 2021. When I see Keen or vicious on a weapon now it makes me want to puke lmao! Thwarting I still use I feel like that's a must if you have grit a lot then 2 other perks

Coming back to the game and seeing "Refreshing Evasion" gone makes me really sad. It created such a interesting way of playing group PvE as a DPS and added another layer of skill. Deciding if you can afford to dodge to increase DPS or if you need that dodge in the next couple seconds to avoid something was a cool way to learn the mechanics of a boss fight. Also it gave the PvE a little bit more "life" (for the lack of a better word for it). Now you stand behind the boss and spam your "rotation" and that's pretty much it. Feels very stale at the moment imho. Anyways, glad that besides that there hasn't changed all too much besides that and the bane perks (so glad they're gone), so I don't have to re-learn that part of the game also. i see guides on youtube with my same stats but do insanely more dmg in pvp. Like im doing a firestaff and rapier build however i see people doing like 2.2k dmg with heavy fireball while im doing 1200 at the same stats and lvl 65

I have a very important question for you...is resistance capped at 50% ? like ice resistnace, thrust resistance, also fortify is maxed at 50%? If u have 30% fortify then it takes up from the total ice resistance and u have like 30% fortify and 20% ice resistance? instead of adding up 50% ice + 30 fortify?! If i have 8 stones + amulet with 15% the total resistance is capped to 50 or 63% ? I'm very confused, there is no official information about this, only rumors on reddit

TLDR; Base damage vs Slash/thrust etc damage on weapon, how much is a “small/medium/large boost to x” (on mount equipment for example small boost to dash recharge” Great videos dude! Quick question about choosing weapon stats, if I have two similar swords drop with identical perks and gear score, but one had (for example) 1000 Base damage and 199 Slash damage and the other had 999 Base Damage but 200 slash damage, I’m not sure how to interpret these stats properly to make an educated decision. I see a lot, if not all, abilities scale off of “x% Base Weapon Damage” so I prioritized that but I feel like I’m missing something. I feel like NW has a tendency to give vague descriptions on some items “small boost of x” is small boost 1%, 5% .000001%? Would anyone mind giving a brief explanation of these things? Thank you! Confused so you cant have them on seperate armor slots? Example helm has elemental aversion and chest has enchanted ward? Even tho they both have the same tag/label? I tonight this rules for the same exact armor piece. Like enchanted ward and elemental aversion can’t both go on helm. But can go on helm and chest each x2 ?

if i have 3 pieces of frigid dawn and a void dark plate + an additional physical Aversion on my 5th piece of gear, plus a thrust protection neck, already have refreshing cap. So do i go health or freedom for final slots for PVP or slashing/thrust protection. in a way i feel 12% from freedom is not noticeable until you have at least a few pieces. if i went slash and or thrust protection i could probably reroll most my gem slots be elemental absorption focused making it usable for PVE too. which does appeal. hmm just dont want to waste the materials required at the gypsum kiln till im sure what would feel the most impactful.
