@@ivancastro4571 theres a huge backlash against aimlock but it seems like ags are not listening as always. Theyll probably release the game with aimlock, lose most of the playerbase within 2 weeks, and then try to fix the issue after the damage is done.

Quick helpful note about trying to play at the same starting point. When you recreate your character, once you're past that initial "dodge, hit, heavy attack" tutorial, you can skip the rest of the entire tutorial sequence in the menu. This is a bog time saver. Alternatively! Just complete the beach quests until you get to the town and you'll then see you have the MSQ icon in the other town. This I believe occurs after you've unlocked storage and the trade post. Running between Prydwen and Corinth is trivial for a low level character. Stick to roads as much as you can (they give a 15% run speed buff) and if you do see high level enemies just keep running. You can then join your friend(s) in the other town with the same MSQ as them.

If you don't start at the same spot as your friends and don't want to create a new character, you can do the first few quests, and when it leads you to the main city, you can talk to the NPC in front of it to finish the quest and stop before he gives you the next quest that will be inside the city. You will see on the map that you can either talk to him, or to the NPC in front of the city where your friends are. At this point, you can walk across the map to the city where your friends are, and talk to the NPC in front of their city, to continue the main story line with them !

Sorry if i interrupt your dream world but : If level up my character from 1 to 65 with zero profession zero mining skills I still can upgrade to the maximum 725, one artifact weapon, one artifact armor and one artifact jewel just with this battle pass .So technically all professions is just useless in this case because level 725 item you can obtain new PVP island and raid Only! .Is it pay to win? Good question

What i really wished that amazon wouldve done is kill this as an MMO and re-released it as a drop in drop out co-op rpg. Im sure theres always going to be a niche but faithful pvp community playing but i just don't see new world seeing a huge resurgence for pvp focus which is a shame because it was really fun. I don't think you mentioned but if you're on PC you need the Rise of the Angry Earth DLC to get a mount and to go over level 60 and do the end game content.

max level and mount need to be included in the base game not locked behind DLC. otherwise, they will lose a lot of players.

​@@jobayershort Nah, the base game is £25 (think it was £30 when I bought it on launch) and you get over 100h of good gameplay out of that. The lack of sub or prolific mtx makes the one off purchase of a DLC perfectly reasonable. AGS have no reason to care if they lose players if those players are worth £0 to them. I think it's unreasonable to be unwilling to spend a one off £25 on the DLC to get access to hundreds of hours of gameplay. It works out much cheaper than other mmos.

They sold 1mil+ copies of the base game and if i am not wrong 70% of them leave before the DLC release. they are not going to return if they can't access the mount and get to the max level. AGS can lock the zone behind DLC but locking mount and level cap behind DLC isn't a good idea.

A MMO is only dead when there very few other players to do content with within the game becuase AGS has always merged servers there have always been other players in the game to do content with regardless of the numbers of copies originally sold. Many other other MMO's before WoW had only a few thousand players and thrieved bc they where all on one server. As long as New world can make enough moneuy to pay its employees and Players still have other players to trade and do content with a game is not "Dead".

I was a launch player, played a ton and have been away from the game for quite some time now. I miss it and was thinking of coming back to see where things are at now, likely with a fresh start. However, I was watching your other video about Aeternum and that auto aim system in PvP was a massive turn off as the skillful combat was the thing I liked most about this game. Now I'm extremely hesitant with a game that already had a dwindling player base. I really hope they don't go with that going forward. Thanks for the videos though, if I end up playing again, I'll be referring to this to get back into the swing of things.

Things that need to change: The war system, a very low percentage actually get to participate. The manual control of the schedule for wars, they should be automated. Territory control, the biggest company usually dominates your entire play experience. The gold distribution, it makes that same low percentage richer than everyone else beyond what they can reach themselves. The towns, crafting and taxes are also controlled by this small percentage. The nonexistent end game, that is stale and boring after you complete all the quests and dungeons. There's 1 OPR map that most people sit around and queue for, because there's really nothing else to do. The chest runs seem to be about the best content in the game. The latency, lag and desync that will also be there due to the international ping monster from offshore sellers. Lots and lots of bots. Tons of microtransactions and more to come. And the ugliest skins in any game and will continue to devolve.
