I recognized it by the thumbnail. We happened to pay a short visit to Vogel on our trip last Fall after visiting Helton Creek Falls. It was kind of a rainy day and we almost decided not to stop but we still got to enjoy a nice walk around the lake to the waterfall. In fact, it’s because my wife saw the waterfall from the road as we were passing by on the way TO Helton that we decided to stop on our way back. We were so glad we did! And I’m so glad you reminded us that we wanted to plan to go back and spend more time there! Thank you for posting.

@@CampTravelExplore Yes! We used to go there way before they built the deck that is there now. I have loved watching your videos of all the areas around here that I have grown up around. Having been born and raised in Georgia I have visited all but four of the state parks. And I'd have to agree with your assessment that Vogel is Georgia's finest all-around state Park. We last stayed there in January 2020 and had a wonderful time. You didn't mention the amazing hike from the campground to the summit of Blood Mountain. An amazing hike to spectacular views.
