I love that Gholdengo is so good, but some people say its too good. I disagree. Gholdengo is almost walled by Charchomp with earthquake, Blissey, and other specially-defensive walls. Gholdengo is good on the right team and with the proper swaps and predictions. Its not insanely broken like for example, Koraidon and Miraidon which can just brute force a win with stats alone.

Many people think it's problematic because of its typing and ability that block Rapid Spin, Mortal Spin and Defog, making hazard stacking really detrimental

The fact that you can't do anything to slow its sweep down because of Good as Gold is a problem, imo. No freezing, no sleeping, no paralyzation, no burn, no confusion, no infatuation. Nothing. It's decently bulky as well, so if your own wallbreaker can't shut it down, then you get swept.

@@Megidramon gholdengo is not inmune to status conditions though, it's inmune to status moves. it can recieve any of those status effects, as long as they come from an attacking move. ice beam can freeze it, icy wind will lower it's speed, flamethrower can burn it, so on. and while it normally can't get poisoned due to being a steel type, if you terastalize it to something else, it will get poisoned by toxic spikes

I use -nasty plot -make it rain -shadow ball -power gem With weakness policy and it works verry nice also timid nature (max speed and sp atk EV)

I put 252 in both defenses then run Thunder Wave Hex Recover Make it Rain. Not super fast, and not the highest attack, but high power special moves make up for it.

If you feel like a little gremlin boi, you can also put the covert cloak on ghouldengo for maximum status denial. Bet it could work very well as a wall if done well

It defaults to 0 IV In attack on showdown, you could have whatever you like for a special sweeper lol

Real talk; Gimmighoul and Gholdengo should be Steel/Psychic and have their names slightly adjusted. Almost nothing in the Pokedex backs up the ghost typing, besides Gimmi "controlling people to do its bidding", which fits perfectly with being psychic, as does a bunch of coins stacked up and controlled as one. Steel/psychic is much more balanced than Steel/ghost, and it's not like Gen 9 hasn't got busted ghost types already. Along with having the same base stats as Volvarona and Urshifu, it's just another example of Gamefreak making new mons broken to encourage people to buy the new games to exploit it.
