Some GOLD ETFs have a NAV of 66, and some have 75. If ETFs track the physical gold price, the one nearer to it is the better option. Pls do explain it, sir. They both have tracking errors of less than 0.5%, but I don’t know why so much difference is there in their price Second, as you said, SGB is currently trading at a premium than the actual gold price. What if I buy Series 1 23-24, which is around 8250currently and if the gold keeps on appreciating year on year, I think I will be in much more profit than investing in ETF or fund because I will also be generating an extra 2.5% interest also Pls do let me know if I am wrong here Physical gold -7800/gm + 3% GST +8% Making charges = 8500-8600/gm SGB Series 1 23-24 If I purchase at 8250 and get 2.5% interest on face value every year 205/ year for 6 years =1230 Effective price/gm = 7020/gm

But a one-time SIP enabling in MF and thereafter no need to worry about those investments for the long term without any hassle (like ETF ups and downs in the market). That minimal expense ratio of 0.2% is acceptable.

The expense ratio of 0.2% is acceptable. Since this mutual fund also invests in gold ETFs and at an opportune time while the market fluctuates, I do not have to worry about investing in gold ETFs every month when there is a dip.
