Coz the value of gold sky rocketed which the government dint expect and now the government has to shell out more to give the profits backs to sgb holders whose tenure is maturing, its a loss to government, hence paused/stopped

You didn't mention about multi year deficit of silver in the market, you didn't talked about US fed rate cutting cycle, you didn't talk about bullion banks market manipulations, you didn't talk about draining vaults at new york comex and London bullion exchange. Not really, PE is one of the metrics and should NOT be the sole metric to make an investment decision. Some companies get stuck in a low PE for a long time and some loss making companies even have a negative PE. A company's PE should be compared with its industry peers to gauge how expensive the company is. Then again, it should NOT be the only metric to make an investment. If you are investing for the long term, you should do fundamental analysis of the company
