Just purchased the 4K 32" model, had a minor issue with the GSV code which has been corrected. I was actually online looking for a touch monitor this morning when Jay put this video out, talk about timing! Just goes to show that he is on top of the sim golf world.

This isn’t for people on a budget. I showed the china infrared bezels years ago in the channel. These are next level, I even talk about that is what I am replacing in the video.

So if I’m interpreting you correctly, it would be possible to do a setup where you are hitting into a net (say in a garage) skipping the impact screen and projector setup and use the touch screen as your means to view your results. Naturally you would need a launch monitor and a computer with enough horsepower to drive the system. If correct that seems like a very streamline way to go with limited space?

There are a lot of people that do this. Some use a TV off to the side, some just have a laptop, or you could do pc and touchscreen like this.

Great review. I was planning on buying a 50" TV to put as my side screen to show launch metrics and other data. Planning on putting the ball 7 feet away from the screen. Would 27" be too small? Trying to determine if I should stick with my TV setup for now as the screen is bigger but no touchscreen. I know they have bigger touchscreens but those are super pricey for a screen. Anyone have experience with both that can make a recommendation on whether touchscreen is worth it or not?

So my personal experience and preference is to have a 27" Touchscreen for UI control, then a 3rd monitor for data larger like 40-50". But having a 50" on the side for UI control imo is just too big, you are often in front of it and you would need to be quite far from it imo to see well vs the 27" is even pretty big when you are only a couple feet from the screen. This is very personal preference driven, but just sharing my thoughts.

Jay, great video and certainly a difficult product to find. I wish this was available when we built our sim. For your many viewers that decided on a traditional 4K monitor (paired with a keyboard) when they built their sim, I am unclear whether this would be a game changing update. Do you think this would completely eliminate the need for a physical keyboard, is GSPro/Uneekor optimized for a touchscreen application and overall speed up and simplify play? What size would be ideal for SIM play 27" or 32" ?

Yeah it’s the first high quality option that’s a true monitor. The color, contrast, brightness, glass and touch is amazing. I think it’s always a personal preference thing. Most even with the best setups and software with onscreen keyboard still keep a keyboard for typing names etc. But overall the quick ability to aim, navigate the UI, etc is the best experience in my opinion. I also found this was a high demand from commercial facilities I talk to doing build outs, plus they of course want something durable like this. In the end, some will think it’s a huge upgrade, some might not find it as necessary, but I do find that many with the budget for it just want the option regardless. Appreciate you watching!

curious what you think about size. On the one hand it would be great to grab the 55" for wow factor but your arm just has to move further to control the programs. Do you think there is an ideal size?

I love the 27”. If fits my space and for a walk up it is easily viewable and also operates on a movable arm without any massive hardware to secure it. I did have to get a heavy duty arm but it’s reasonable. 32 inches is also a nice size if you’re going to be mounting it right to a wall with a TV style mount, this is very common now. Bigger than 32 inch in my opinion is getting a bit big for walk up touch, keep in mind. You only are standing a foot or two away from the screen so it can be a bit overwhelming if it’s too big. It would be more for if you want it for view, ability for data. I’m aware of several people running those larger sizes and are fine with it, but it definitely is not necessary based on my experience.

@ I ended up with a mount from a website called Mount It. Much more sturdy and doesn’t move around easily like the cheap one I had. You can tighten each pivot spot which is nice.

Nice 4K monitor Jay. Such a pity I've already invested a fist full of 'readies' in a high-end (but std) gaming monitor. Why does the 1080p look like you are filming it through mozcito/fly wire? Did you reset your laptop res when you changed monitors?

No idea what you are referring to but the 1080 I think might have a slightly different refresh rate so it wouldn’t as easy to record.

I have my monitor on the way. Problem I have is my projector screen is 2760x2160 and I want to mirror the image with this touchscreen. I think I will have black bars on either side of touchscreen. What should I do for setup?

So I actually have my projector to the screen fill and mirror 4k vs having the black bars on the monitor. My screen is 16:10 not 16:9 and you can't even tell.

Nice video! I have actually just started trying to use a touchscreen to control GSPro but am having 2 problems that you might be able to help me with. Problem 1 is that I can't use the touchscreen to control when I have it, connected to my desktop gaming pc at the same time as the regular monitor and a projector. If I don't have the projector connected it works just fine but when it becomes a 3 display setup the touch commands become connected to the main monitor and not the touchscreen. I have tried different multi display configurations in the windows settings but no luck! Second issue is how to get the touchscreen keyboard to open when using GSPro to use keyboard commands such as heat map etc. on the touchscreen while playing. There is a beta setting for touchscreen keyboard in GSPro but I have no idea how to see it when playing. I have the touchscreen keyboard icon turned on in windows settings and can see it on the main keyboard but when GSPro is running on touchscreen as an extended monitor the touchscreen icon doesn't appear at the bottom of the screen like it does on the main monitor. I haven’t messed with the onscreen keyboard but will give it a try and report back. This monitor was plug and play no issues like you mentioned.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos Thanks for the response. Mine is plug and play also and works great if it's the only other monitor connected to the computer. Issues start happening when the projector is also connected as a third monitor. I just want to use the touchscreen as a controller close to me when playing GSPro. I wonder if I need to use an HDMI splitter to connect the touchscreen and projector to the same HDMI output socket in the computer for it to work that way.

@ you shouldn’t need to do that. If your GPU limits would monitor account is possible.

Try setting the touchscreen as the main monitor, and duplicating to the projector. I have the same issue with a 55-in touchscreen on my work setup. If it’s not set as my main, the touch input makes the actual main monitor receive the touch input.

@@nhill31 Thanks for the feedback. I think I actually tried that but found that I need the main monitor to not be the screen I use to play GSPro. I think it was because I need GSPro to be on both the touchscreen and projector at the same time with the third monitor (main monitor) available for desktop access. I feel that surely there are people out there that have a 3 monitor setup including a touchscreen and projector when playing GSPro so there must be an answer! Is it possible to duplicate the main monitor on one sub monitor and extend the desktop to the other sub monitor at the same time?

Nice if you don't have a monitor alredy but pricy otherwise. I'd prefer a cheaper addon type you mount on an existing monitor.. The only ones I found were expensive chinese models sadly. But I guess I can easily live without one.

Yeah it is not for everyone at the price point, nice where it is on sale though. I think for those that can budget it’s fantastic and a no brainer for commercial setups. I guess I just never realized how impactful quality glass can be over even a very nice gaming monitor. Thanks for watching!

@ it’s a mix. Not majority but I probably talk to 3-6 people a week building commercial in golf clubs, bars, facilities etc. But also, a good mix of premium builds with no budget concerns so I try to cater to all. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching 🍻
