BEST Grout Cleaner - Zep Grout Cleaner vs. Bissell SteamShot - Part 1

UPDATE: I have finally uploaded a NEW video that uses the grout brush - watch and see for yourself...
Comparing Zep Grout Cleaner vs. the Bissell SteamShot - I expected the steam to win, but Zep Grout Cleaner worked really quickly, and with very little scrubbing. It's amazing how much cleaner a floor looks after cleaning all the grout. Remember to seal your grout every 1-2 years to keep your grout water- and stain-resistant.

I think you have to attached the grout brush attachment with the SteamShot when you use it... maybe the results will be better.

Agree! Plus you get the area sanitized at the same time and you don’t have to reseal the grout afterwards (not sure about this exact product but with some you have to). I used it for first time and it did great!

You have to attach the grout cleaner piece to the steam shot first, the results would definitely drastically improve.

My steam cleaner / steam mop cleaned my gout, mine also has a lot more steam coming out and i was using the stiff grout brush that came with the steam/mop.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ZEP CLEANER. IT CLEANS UP MESSES AND LEAVES NO RESIDUE. HAVEN'T USED THE GROUT CLEANER BUT BET ITS JUST AS GOOD. AGAIN...I LOVE ZEP!!!!!!

You gotta use the grout tool for the Steam Shot. That said, the Zep did a comparable job and might be easier overall.

ZEP looks great, but I've had much better success with the Bissell steam cleaner than you did. One difference is that I sprayed the grout first with a general all-purpose cleaner (Dollar Tree's Awesome cleaner at about a 10-1 dilution) and let that soak for a few minutes. The other was that I let my Bissell heat up adequately, so it was kicking out a lot more steam than yours was. Others have commented on the grout cleaner attachment. Yes, that helps somewhat, but honestly, if you give the dirt a chance to loosen up first with a spray cleaner, the steam cleaner works just fine without the brush attachment and it's a lot less work.

@@Bungle2010 I went back and watched the video and I agree with you. I stand corrected, ok. She could have used a brush on the steamer and probably would have had a better result but I most say that I was very impressed with the ZEP product. Even if she would have used a brush on the steamer and let's say she would have gotten the same results I believe it would have been more difficult to achieve. ZEP was very easy and fast in my opinion.

Boswell has a grout brush attachment that does as well or better than zep. I just used both one mine.

Zep is much faster at cleaning and far better than steam shot. Steam Shot only works for only about five or six minutes then you gotta wait till it cools down then you gotta refill then warm up and start over. It wore me out and I use the attachment and yes it got it clean but it wore me out.

I’ve used the zep wasn’t impressed some time ago. The steam is good. You need the grout brush. And maybe a stronger steamer.

Be careful with using zep, I used it on my grout and it came out looking amazing but I didn’t notice a lot of the grout cement had came out with it I might have messed up my tile

Zep is acidic. Once clean, go over all the grout with a basic product so you don't "dissolve away" your grout. Use baking soda, ammonia or something like 409.

I use gel toilet cleaner on the grout , leave for 15 minutes, scrub and pick up

Grout brush is required for clean tile grout . the shop that sold that to you should be able to order you the grout brush if not return it for a refund and get another brand that supplies one with the unit . Also that steamer looks faulty no where near as much steam as my karcher sc 3 puts out .

I bought the steam shot because it's supposed to clean the grout without scrubbing but it really doesn't work..the brush is the best..

I think it really depends on what's being removed from the grout. I have tried a number of different rooms in different houses, and results vary.

Um you didnt use the grout attachment, the other thing you used you let sit on for double amount of time than the steamer plus with the other there you used a physical brush. This is clearly a rigged review
