The lyrics to "Drain You" are deep, speaking about the co-dependence that can develop in a relationship, to the point where one of the people is "chewing meat for the other", just like a mama bird would for a baby bird.

Nirvana came out of the punk world where guitar solos were discouraged, because it was seen as "showing off" and took away from the band/song. Kurt did solos reluctantly and usually tried to make them more interesting SONICALLY rather than through just shredding technique.

The intro of "Territorial Pissings" is meant as a joke, to make fun of hippy-dippy ideas (and the song the lyrics are taken from).

Noah seems like a rather unempathetic person. He doesn't connect emotionally with anything. "Something in the Way" lyrics are "pretentious"? WTH? I'm going to bet cash money that Noah has never been homeless. He doesn't know anything about how devastating an experience that can be.
