BEST GUN MODS For WARBAND

If anybody is curious, Grande Armee actually has a pretty good AI now for combat, it'll actually form up. Additionally, we've been cooking up some reworks to troops trees with Italy practically complete (I'm just working on finishing up some new banners for them), and the other minor factions planned to come eventually. Progress has been slow though, as both myself and Life (actual mod developer I'm just the uniform guy) have been fairly inactive Edit: Inactivity has only gotten worse, Life hasn't been heard from in a while now, and I myself haven't worked on it much either. Either way though, it's still an upgrade from base L'Aigle.

@@stefanzarkovsteve3262 Well it's not 18th century, that'd be 1900s. I'd argue that Between Empires is probably the best 1800's mod, and Grande Armee is the best Napoleonic Wars mod.

@@stefanzarkovsteve3262 Yeah, there's a shocking lack of Napoleonic mods with a campaign map, literally the only two I can think of are Grande Armee and L'Aigle but Grande Armee is just L'Aigle with upgrades lol

Yes, well, i've always argued historical accuracy should not be prioritized over gameplay. As fun as it is, it does make battles very difficult by warband standards.

You could also argue that it doesn't matter considering the fact the trenches are just straight lines and you can only dig one per group. Now i'm trying to think of how to argue the argument I just made.

Thank you so much for the video, it was very informative and interesting, u did a lot of work! I would also add "The Triple Alliance", it's an amazing mod, about the Paraguayan War of 1864. It's probably better than Independence of Chile, because there's Diplomacy and Freelancer, and the scenes are much better, there are a lot of them and they're just amazing! I have not seen such scenes in any other mod, it really immerses me in the atmosphere of colonial South America.

the between empires mod also has iron sights, it worked very well on 1860 guns, but was a little janky on some of the 1914 guns

There was a gun mod with granades, bazookas, etc. for earlier version of Warband on M&B Repository some years ago which was absolute fun but unfortunately they seem to have shut it down. This mod added fun weapons without doing any other changes really but it felt refreshing to make the game a little unbalanced.

One mod that is always missed out or not explained in depth in many mnb warband gun mods video is suvarnabhumi mahayuth The gunplay is solid, pre-napoleonic era stuff with european and asian muskets Thing is that so far with every musket era mod that ive played this mod beats the rest (with only rising sun bakumatsu/gekokujo expanded being second and ACW revived being in close third if only the mod doesnt crash every half an hour) There are two things that i find important on musket mods, firstly rank and fire commands, aswell as the ability to reload while moving. This mod has both of those and also included is their custom maps which really emphasizes on southeast asian jungle warfare You have elevated hills filled with trees that are perfect for skirmishes done by lower level musket troops, and usually a small open space that is big enough for two rows of muskets to hold with Combat and battle wise the mod is rly fun especially with so many additions (elephant back handcannons, elephant riding, buffaloo riding, dual wield swords etc) Its sad that no one talks about it because its not something particularly interesting to western audiences but trust me it gets really fun My only complaint is that it needs more nationbuilding and citybuilding stuff like what nova aetas did

It is indeed a great, gorgeous mod. I did review it before, but excluded it from this ranking for similar reasons as Gekokujo; it has guns, but they're not central to the mod. It's still very good though, for sure. I included it in my ranking of historical mods.

What annoyed me the most about Red Wars (which i mostly love) is that most of the time, the AI just suicide charges towards you instead of forming firing lines.

Don't know if the paid DLC/mod Napoleonic-War counts, that Mod is a multiplayer mod and it is so much fun especially if there is a community event and it inspired "Holdfast" a musket Napoleonic era multiplayer game that is literally an upgrade version of the warband DLC with the exact shooting and fighting mechanic, and that is is also very fun too.

through the entire series of mount and blade, i still think the 1866 mod is the best mod that includes guns, only for the OG mount and blade unfortunately, as multiplayer with that mod would be fun.
