From the With-Scott website "The 3 ton models are identical to the 2 ton units with the exception of a larger and stronger tackle block hook and stronger handle." I own the 3 ton Amsteel version with 35' of line. It was worth the money! Good video.

Thank you for the clarification. I agree it's well worth the investment. I would never not have one

I'm looking at portable winches for my Gladiator for self recovery and am really confused (between gas, electric, or come along). This thing looks good, just want your opinion. I love all your videos, Thanks.

I love the wyeth scott power puller. I have used it to pull out my cherokee trail hawk, my jeep renegade, and my f150 so far. its light weight and doesnt really fail. I recommend the 3 ton over the 2 ton. but it is exhausting to use and down here in south ga with high temps and humidity its very hard on a person. Also the mud down here is like peanut butter cement and really brutal. Im trying to build a portable winch set up with a 9 or 10k winch that mounts on a cradle that plugs into the hitch reciever so I can use it on any of my trucks or take it to a buddy that is stuck. I think I can build that set up for less than the cost of the 3ton power puller. Will be working on that project really soon but thnk its a great way to go for serious mud down here.

@@Jason-Samko I'm looking at more snow and soft dirt applications, so I think I'll give it a shot. Thanks, and good luck on your project.

Dude, Ihave had one of these for over 30 years now and just getting ready to replace the original steel cable with synthetic I dont use it everyday but there are times in the 30 years that this powerpull has saved my bacon or at least gotten one of my stuck rigs out.

Yep love this puller. Will never not own one and could not image not having it available when I need it

Thanks for a great tutorial video. I’m convinced. Buying one once I get my tax refund.

Glad you enjoyed it. Such a great tool and works excellent for vehicle recovery too.

I like these winches and am comparing it to your X-Bull winch in a cradle. The pricing seems fairly close. I like the smaller size of the Wyeth-Scott compared to the Cradle setup. I saw that you said the manual puller can be exhausting in your Georgia mud scenarios....decisions, decisions...
@Jason-Samko24 күн бұрын
@sinnasinna7060 having both i guess my best way to say what I like best would be the fact that I take the xbull winch in a cradle with me everywhere and have not touched the wyeth Scott puller since I got thr xbull

Just one more question. In your opinion, Is it safer to use a static tow strap with the Wyeth for recovery or can I get away with a kinetic one? Thanks
@Jason-Samko10 ай бұрын
Never use a kinetic on a winch. Even a hand winch. Static straps only

@danoesq2 thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Have some videos coming out over next few weeks about setting up for recovery and I have a portable winch system that can transfer to any vehicle I'm building tomorrow. Lots of great recovery videos to come soon.

My recent research of these winches I found that the cheaper priced Wyeth-Scott winches are produced in CHINA! Pay extra for the 35' Amsteel blue rope models that are made in America
