Justin Yau You're wrong I've lived in Philly my entire life and was a big sixers fan through his entire career. He was one of the most athletic players to play the game. When he played football he was a michael vick clone. He used to iron man playing QB WR and CB. AI was a sick handler but he wasn't the best. He was just very well rounded (Not so much defense, but every AI needs an Eric Snow)

Now all these players have demonstrated their althletism. Not saying AI doesnt have a little bit of it. But hes well better known for his dribbling skills&ankle breaking moves..lol. Hes a finesse player&uses his skill & NOT his althletism..lol.Only in his early rookie yr he showed just a little bit..lol. AI has the best handles in the game&no one could ever crossover better than he could..lol. Name me some better??? Tim Hardaway wasnt as good. When AI got older in his career he learned that he didn't need the crossover all the time &learned to change speeds. Very underrated part of ball handling & also having good foot work also.

Here’s something to keep in mind, the rules for ballhandling have changed over the years. That’s why so many old people cry about carrying and traveling today. Back when Cousy was playing the hand can only be on the top third of the ball or something like that. So to me, when you consider Maravich and the rules he played in, he has to be on the Mount Rushmore.

Kenny Anderson is BY FAR the best ball handler to EVER do it! What separates Kenny from all of the candidates that I have seen listed so far is that Kenny didn't just have one move....he had a multitude and variety of several moves, and they were all done by instinct! Yes, A.I. had the killer crossover (which he picked up from a player in D.C. by the way), but that was it. Yes, Shammgod had that European pull-back dribble....but that was it. And yes, Rafer had that little skip to my lou dribble...BUT THAT WAS IT! But Kenny? Man...he had a behind the back dribble, a spin move that was second to none, a deadly crossover so quick that was easy to miss, and a hesitation dribble that literally made players fall (GTech vs. Michigan State 90-91 NCAA Tournament). And all of Kenny Anderson's moves were instinctual. In other words, he wasn't dribbling down the court thinking about using a particular move, they just happened b/c it was necessitated by the action on the court. Wanna know what I mean? Check out his game tape against Notre Dame in his freshman season...or even that Final 4 game against UNLV when Moses Scurry was dumb enough to try take the ball from him on the inbound play.
@HFH-Official Жыл бұрын
Kenny is in my top 5. Along with Tim Hardaway, Kevin Johnson, AI and Pete Maravich. These people just don't know.... and not as an insult, you gotta be as old as me to remember Kenny Anderson. I'm 47 and still remember his Nets days... just a beast!

I agree with C Webb. All the dudes Kenny named were never able to translate that flash to the pros but J Will was a hooper who was able to do it and be successful

Shamgod best handles Ive seen, I remember watching him live on tv in college, he had the best control of the ball with the left hand Ive seen, he could dribble in his sleep, the ball was basically attached on a string to his hands, his problem was he couldnt shoot and was kind of a showman with the dribble, people like it but the MAN really didnt want to see that in the NBA and the attention it brought with it, also him changing his first name to God made alot of people mad, I remember during his senior season many announcers wouldnt refer to him as that, the NBA has been blackballing players for a long time.

Too many to name. Kenny Anderson, Tim Hardaway, AI, Isiah Thomas, God Shaamgod, Earl Munroe. I'm going with AI though.
