You realize that he had children out of wedlock, got mad at Sports Illustrated when they revealed he had kids because it hurt his "good boy" image. While Jordan was doing NBA commercials about Magic & AIDS, Jordan was participating in the very same sexual activities that Magic did. MJ has been sued by many women over the years, and Jordan never denies the sexual relations he had with them. MJ was a great player, but not the person you want your daughter to marry.

Yeah they were great, especially MJ's dad. Other than the fact he basically rejected Mike throughout his entire childhood, favoring his older sons. Until it became obvious that Mike was his meal ticket. Oh, and the fact that he raped his own daughter. Other than those things - great dad. Jordan pretty much became the greatest sportsman in history (and most psychopathic competitor) to win his dirtbag father's acceptance.

MJ was so blessed to be raised properly by both his Mom and Dad and to be guided by the best coaches in sport. Not all players go through the same path. But the best thing about MJ is he absorbed and applied all their teachings, in sport and in life. We should never compare one athlete to another. Each have their own background, upbringing, and paths. Let’s just enjoy them when we can.

As a Knick fan, this guy robbed of countless moments of joy, as his era was probably one of the best eras for Knicks basketball. I hated him with a passion in the beginning. Started respecting him after a while, and in the end I was just grateful for having the privilege to watch one of the greatest athletes of all time in any sport.

My bachelor party in Vegas in 2018 ended up with my fiance leaving me and my parents kicking me out of the house ---- I was so deeply fkt up and remember what Jordan's dad told him, to 'turn a negative into a positive'. I heard him say that over and over on my old Michael Jordan DVD's. I was living such a negative event out that the only thing I could think of was to 'turn this into a positive.'
