Mainly around the Wirral at Birkenhead, with regular runs to the North and south wales rock marks, where a good beam is essential.

Planning to try and get some lights into shops in the Wirral/Liverpool/Manchester area this year! Hopefully they will see the value of a decent lighting for fishing 😁

As an angler narrow beam is so handy for surf fishing n wide beam is for everything else , fenix headlamps r so dureable

I actually live a few miles from there and have surfed monknash for over 20 years, i was in the market for a new headtorch for my fishing, i mostly fish that coast on my own at night so wanted to upgrade to something premium and a lot safer to what i have been using as i fish easily 4 times a week, this was a great edit and never heard of fenix before but it looked exactly what was needed for me so i pulled the trigger and purchased the HP30R its being delivered tomorrow ready for the weekend 👌 cheers guys great review 👏

That stretch of coast is fantastic! I use it for my training runs (when its not a muddy swamp!) The HP30R v2.0 is great for anglers as it just removes the worry of running out of battery. Let us know how you get on!

Totally agree! Don't want to be worrying about your lighting on some of the UK marks!
