There are two nuts and one of them is doom nut which will go reverse and lock the helmet. It will take bike key to remove later. That's the purpose of doom nut.

Just my Observation from video - It is not advisable to hang plastic bags to this fitment as it can lead to damage to engine due to less or no air cooling and also bags could stick to engine or exhaust pipe leading to damage to the stuff stored in bags and also to the casing of the engine. Otherwise it's a good product for helmet locking.

in the past 4 years I lost 3 helmets while I was having coffee in coffee shops. Only one of them was un locked and easy to be stolen but the other 3 where locked using steel helmet cable. in just less than 1 minute anyone can cut the cable and run a way. No, I take my helmet with me and never leave it in the bike.

Heat of engine parts will not melt even the low-micron carry bags. No issue. But the bend-pipe (starting of exhaust pipe) will burn even if it is cotton bags, In ideal case FITAKI fix at left side and 99% bike’s exhaust is at right side.
