This is very well written. A bittersweet tale told flawlessly. Bravo to the author.

If I had a nickle for every piece of Sphinx waifu media I've seen in the past hour, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened twice in such a short time.

Everybody keeps saying it's love, by I think that loss fits better. Especially considering the first, second, and last lines. Just read the lines with loss in mind, it's there.
@misterben43603 ай бұрын
it's both. I was trying to show that the final form of love is loss. They both work, not because the riddle is fuzzy, but because they are the same thing, just at different moments.

@@misterben4360 I.... disagree and I'm not quite sure how to put it. Love is a prequisite for loss, sure. You certainly can't have catastrophic loss without do love. But love is relationship or relation-al. It's the tying of one thing to another. Loss is when that love is there, but the thing it is tied to is gone. Love can remain after loss leaves. Loss cannot remain after loss has died. I think. I haven't loved or lost like this.

Well written wordsmith, well narrated Net. Dastardly onion ninjas got me bad for this one.

I really liked this tale, mainly because it is atmospheric. My instinct was to say "love." But then, my answer was contextual, logical, as always. I have learned your tricky ways. Maybe loss works too, but nothing is ever lost; It merely transforms. You Humans still puzzle me, after 70 years amongst you.
@misterben43603 ай бұрын
one of my goals for the story was to connect love with loss. debating between the two is supposed to show how they form a seamless continuum. loss is the final stage of love. they are both the right answer because they are the same thing at different times.
