Tank was actually the code name, intended to fool any spies into thinking it was some kind of water bowser.
@Grim-HEX7 сағат бұрын
Not spies, the government.. It was created by a farmer but the allies didn't want to buy it, the Russians on the other hand was interested so the farmer listed is a tank on the prints and forms to get it to Russia without much questions.

Originally it was called a water carrier. Then someone pointed out that to the Americans WC meant toilet.

Fun thing about C4 is you can eat it in small quantities. Between a sugar or ice cube. It needs a detonator or electric shock to set it off. I spent an enlistment as Army EOD an we'd always have the new guy take a bite then chase them around with tazers. Fun times

LOL typical military shit HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....
@nobodyimportant24706 сағат бұрын
The fact that it can be eaten resulted in the OSI(predecessor to the CIA) to blend it with flour for covert operations. Someone checking your bags would see cooking supplies for a camping trip but stir in some water and add a locally sourced detonator for some strategic removal of infrastructure.

Next thing about tanks: that was more of a cover name, since it was a top secret british project. The german name "Panzer", translated "Shell" or "Armor", is much closer in Concept and function.

@@biggsdarklighter0473In french we call them " Chars " which would roughly translate to chariots, in reference to antique war chariots.

So, Demoman did go to space. Wonder how the rest of the team took that.

with the amount of jobs he has, i honestly wouldn't be surprised that he'd eventually land himself a place on a space mining gig. fits well with the lore.

Don't know about aliens but I would likely get bored after playing with an excavator for several hours... Well unless I had a project to do.

I think ANFO would be a better explosive for strip mining.

Depends on the rock type mainly and the layer consistency and conditions. Some explosives are better for certain uses at some conditions other more so.

@@grogvaughan5649 I am certainly not even a beginner with regard to explosives, but my limited understanding is that for something like open pit mining you need a slow push explosive, things like C4 Semtex and RDX are fast push explosives, and I am also confused on how you get them down and filling the boreholes, it just seems AMFO which is a liquid would be better suited for the job.
