Honest question: how would they compare with two Kali LP-6v2 paired with a Topping DX3 Pro+ ? That's less than $600 and certainly Kali's are awesome.

@@michaelratner8890 Not sure as I’ve never had those. But synergy is a a thing. And when you have a company like Vanatoo that designs and curates from top to bottom you typically get maximum synergy. In my experience that goes a long way. 😊😊😊. It’s all just fun at the end of the day. 😁😁😁. I’m sure that would be a great combo.

I've had the Vanatoo T-0 for several years. The T-1+ has been on my wish list. It's such a great value. I like the improvements they've brought to it. Just wondering if they'll come out with one that has HDMI ARC.

@@ozzybc. Awesome !! So glad you made the show! Personally I would look at a nice simple 10” sealed sub that’s nice and quick with a good texture to it. Something like a 10” sealed sub would work well. Maybe check the used market for a REL, Rythmik, or JL. Glad I could help at the show and always cool to meet new peeps.

Preordered these speakers, been using them for a while daily with pop, electronic, metal, jazz, opera music at usually less than 30% of what they can push out, to avoid hearing damage. Amazing sound system for office, sound clarity in all frequencies I can hear kills any headphones and speakers I've heard so far. They would definitely have more than enough power to serve in our living room too, if I added a subwoofer, but I haven't tried them in that capacity.

1st Time viewer ---- stellar review of the Vanatoo's !!! 30 Day Trial one really can not go wrong. I respect High End Audiophile Steve Huff a lot. He actually does some affordable merchandise as well. Just viewed a recent video of his about the Triangle AIO powered speakers. He believes they compete with speakers up to $2K. Perhaps you could contact Triangle & do a review :)

Hey man! Congrats on another great review! I heard these and the zeros at axpona, both are amazing and among the very few things form the show that are very much at the top of my list for the next piece of gear. I’ve been thinking about replacing the setup I have for the living room tv and these have got to be it, otherwise I’m gonna end up with something much larger and more complicated than it really needs to be. The wife might actually be happy about an audio upgrade for a change, especially if I win the raffle… thanks again!!!

We did not. But it is possible an external DAC would improve sound quality. No doubt there.

We did not. We wanted to just stick to the system as it is out of the box. We didn’t dive too much into integrating other components and that gets really subjective, really quick. Sorry my friend. For most of the review we used it as a standalone system, so Bluetooth, as well as direct from a PC on a desktop. This two configs will be how 90+ percent of folks use them. Many will work. We enjoyed the REL HT1003. But any decent sub, that’s musical, quick, and images well will work. These speakers image really well and deserve a nice quick sub.

I only recommend getting ones that put the driver on axis vertically with your ear. So all depends on surface you have them on. I like them toed just off each side of my head about a foot.

I have not heard those. But the Encore+ put a good push on many full separates systems costing many times the price.

0 seconds ago I’m surprised that the risk of your amp blowing (and thus rendering your speakers useless) is not addressed here. I own a pair of dead TO Encores that died after 3 years and 5 months. The vendor refused any discount on replacement or toward purchase of an upgrade. The only solution they offered was to sell me a new amp with DIY instructions for $125. Unfortunately, they could not guarantee that the new amp would last any longer than the first one. I elected to go back to passives. Vanatoo said to me that “when the amp in these does, you’re out of luck.” I consider it a $650 lesson to learn that active speakers are not yet ready for prime time. Perhaps other active speaker manufacturers offer a more durable product or sufficient warranty?

Well, we didn’t have any issues like that so it’s hard to “address” something that hasn’t happened…. Not sure why you’re suprised? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️. That’s a bummer tho that your experience was bad. Yeah, I didn’t expect your experience to the same as mine. It’s a shame because I really did love the Vanatoos. If I didn’t think it’s a financial crapshoot, I’d buy them again. Maybe they’ll read this and start offering a 10 year warranty, in which case I WOULD buy them again. Until then, I’ll have to consider them to be the best temporary speaker available!
