I travelled from Canada to the UK, mid-March 2020. When everything else was shutting down, I took to the road to explore UK. ALL your videos were most helpful and inspiring. Especially the Snake Road. A BIG THANK YOU for making my trip memorable and fun! :D

You can never get bored of Snake pass! Especially heading towards Manchester at sundown, the sight of the lights greeting you as you hit that winding road down the mountain is just bliss :)

Lovely trip, Nice commentary too, well done. The forgotten road of the North Wales Coast can be travelled on my channel with plenty of history thrown in for good measure.

@@Motobobber7 Its a nice little ride from Llwyel up through Tirabad then into Llangamarch wells, i do this one often and then onto builth then Llanidloes, fabulous scenery, im 74 now and been riding these roads since my youth and never tire of the great views, my first trip was on a BSA D1 Bantam in 1963 now i do it on a wing and prayer.

Done this road 3 or 4 times now. Best views are when you can potter along at about 30 mph taking in the scenery and allowing the dickhead racers to go through.

Can you please say Machynlleth correctly or have a couple of Welsh lessons maybe !

Go on then how do you pronounce it?.... always keen to learn something new!

Nah mate this is boring compared the road I just down in beacons. Granted you can see well but the road I drove down you could barley go above 50 it was so windy but it felt so much faster then 50 how the corners were relentless

Could you tell me what road it was as I would love to drive it!

Come to Cymru respecting our roads, our language and culture, and respecting the fact that these are roads that are used by locals to get about their daily business. People live here, so please don't view our country and its roads as the 'racetrack' of english city dwellers who are looking for weekend entertainment to come and enjoy freely without consideration for the population. Your video highlights a growing problem of this nature in our beautiful country.

People are allowed to enjoy driving like any other hobby. People cycle on the roads all the bloody time, being a constant menace to traffic and causing a hazard! Just because people enjoy driving and share their experiences doesn't mean they are automatically a boyracer or driving dangerously. You dumb halfwit. Just for that, I'm going to rev my exhaust extra loud well within the speed limits just for you when I visit this road 😉
@garethifan10346 жыл бұрын
Thank you. You've just proven my point with your imbecilic arrogance and selfish attitude toward others. The point I was making was that these groups of people who come in numbers to rural Wales usually from some place in the english midlands to 'enjoy' themselves be it on motorbikes or cars often do so with little consideration for those who live, and work there. You, clearly, are, or soon will be, making yourself a point in case. To them, it's just a playground where they bring their 'classic' car or bike out - for others, they can be a damned nuisance when they do so with disregard for others. Next time, they can wait behind my tractor until I get to where I'm going..and you can make all the noise you want revving that engine up.

What a clown. I will block you. Sounds like you're already throwing your toys out the pram.
@aevans1486 жыл бұрын
Block me then. Why would I care? My point is Gareth, not everyone who has a performance car and drives along nice roads in which you are so privileged to live around, drives like an arsehole. It does infuriate me that there are country folk or those of the older generation who instantly assume that. I don't make an assumption of all tractor drivers and who they are as a person. I have no problem with them, going about their job and slowing down traffic. That is their life and what they must do for a living. I know there are many who drive like plonkers in all kinds of cars and on bikes but we are not all the same. I respect the speed limit, I respect other road users and yet I enjoy driving around the country, particularly Wales as it has some of the best roads the UK has to offer. I also have the most respect for the local residents. I also live just off a busy and fast road and know the danger it can pose. Perhaps my comment was overboard but please do not put all driving enthusiasts in the same bracket, much like any other road user or someone enjoying any other hobby!
@garethifan10346 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. But - sometimes, a few of those I meet in 'performance cars' are just that - arrogant, entitled, and assume they own the road wherever they are with a blatant disregard for others. Still i'd rather them than the cyclists.. I maybe generalize too much..I hope you do it respectfully and with a little consideration was my only point in my original comment. A little respect goes a long way wherever you are. Stay safe out there.

You need to do all these Welsh roads on a bike...you can't possibly enjoy or appreciate them to their fullest, sat in a car! On a bike, it's much more exhilarating, plus you see a hell of a lot more of the scenery! Roads like this are wasted in a car!
