Jeremy didn't want the alarm fitted, but, due to the value of the vehicle, the insurer required Ford to install the immobilizer before he could take delivery of it. It was a finger-pointing game between the insurer, Ford, and the third-party that Ford had contracted to install the immobilizer. Just a total fuster-cluck.

@rajgill75762 жыл бұрын
Older cellular tech used more power, with towers fewer and farther between the signal would drop less often, but just be slow overall. You could literally power led light "stickers" that flashed when it rang with old Nokia phones. The point of 4g is more frequent but smaller antennas, so a much weaker but ultimately faster signal with multiple points of connection. It can drop when you lose signal, as the signals are much weaker

What fascinates me about rewatching top gear is that the experience changes so much depending on when you watch it. For example a review of the latest ford focus is interesting when its brand new, not interesting at all for the next few years, but then it becomes interesting again once the car reaches a certain age. It starts off as a showcase of modern technology, then for a certain period its just not interesting at all because all cars have it, then it becomes a showcase of old 'retro' technology instead. At some point I went through a fairly long period where I would have skipped that Mitsubishi segment, but retrospective makes it more interesting than ever.
