I owned a car that has surpased the reliability expectations. 2006 Ford Focus 1.6 Z6 engine. Bought at 221 000 kms, drove it up to 460 000kms trouble free until I lost it in the car accident. As a result I replaced it with facelift 2010 1.8 Ford Focus with 198 000 kms, I do a lot of travelling, so far sitting 229 000kms. I must admit the 2006 focus is solid reliable and never broke anything and I mean nothing, extremely reliable.

My opel corsa 1.4 16v sitting at 216000km, Nissan caravan ka24 sitting at 440000km, my hilux 2tr sitting at 354000km, etc etc. So all i can say is that depend on maintenance, by the way i learnt the hard way to personally service my vehicles.
