Hi Tracey, could you tell me the better way to own an ETF such as ownership of Vanguard shares or being in a Vanguard portfolio position run by Vanguard. Thanks in advance. Love your work
@TraceyEdwards5 ай бұрын
I buy them through my trading platform rather than directly from Vanguard, but either way is fine.
@Lowery999Ай бұрын
I live off dividends on ETFs, for sure it can improve your wealth if you reinvest them to buy more shares, creating a snowball effect that allows your investments to compound over time. It's one of the most passive and effective ways to build an income stream. well managed steady growth for me.
@kenderdine7886Ай бұрын
Lowery have you considered the possibility of cashing out some of those dividends for paying off your monthly expenses, instead of re-investing them? Bcos I need a lot as rent, inflation alone eat up almost all of what I make.
@Lowery999Ай бұрын
tbh I keep compounding, adhering to well established patterns from a professional, even as a rookie, can bring tremendous value! I’ve trimmed, added also and now my average growth has increased 88% in the past year while participating behind a top performer. effectively remits over 100k annually and increasing.

Kenderdine a lot of people let their dividends ride for the long-term given its solid returns effects overtime

Thanks Tracey , Could you please tell us why you included WHC as being consistent dividend payer , but said FMG was not consistent , when WHC paid almost no dividend in 2020 , paid no dividend at all in 2021 , while FMG has yielded big dividends every year for the last 5 years ? (and the share price has increased by nearly six times .)
@TraceyEdwards11 ай бұрын
It's really a gut feeling sometimes. With FMG (which I do own and like), the dividends have been trending downwards over the last three years. Still a great yield though. With WHC, they didn't pay after the covid period so sometimes I'm okay with that, and they are paying again, and divs look like they are growing again (as they were prior to 2020). I could be wrong, but that was my reasoning :) Happy Investing!
@Leo555ZZZ11 ай бұрын
@@TraceyEdwards Thanks for your reply Tracey. I think we will see in the next two weeks , that FMG dividends are growing again , possibly up by 20% or more , while WHC dividends will decline this year , but will increase in the longer term thanks to their acquisition of BHP's coal assets. Exciting times..

Hello. I found this analysis to be very professional. Congratulations. What is Franking? Why do some have 100% and others 0%?
@TraceyEdwards11 ай бұрын
franking refers to how much company tax has been paid. 100% franking is good for most investors because they'll get the tax benefit come tax time :)
