Thank you for giving the viewer the most genuine experience when watching this! I plan to go in two weeks, but I can't decide between Alpe di Siusi or Seceda. I see you've been to both. If you had to recommend one, which would it be?
@RyanPelle Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. You certainly made my day 😍 It’s almost impossible to pick!!!!! But I probably would pick Alpe de Siusi because it’s more green and there are so many routes you can do. But then you’re going to miss the dramatic cliff views of Seceda. And I think the refugios in Seceda have better views than in Alpe de Siusi. But if you want to just roam around rather than sit in the refugios, I’d pick Alpe di Siusi. Yeah, I’d do that. It’s so unbelievably perfect this place. Have fun 🤩

Alpe di Siusi is the highest pasture in Alps. It is actually a plain at 2000 meters above sea level. There is nothing like it in Alps. I skied all over Europe, after my first ski in Alpe di Siusi, I never went to another ski resort. Magical

Hey - I took it from Ortisie. There are sign posts around Ortisie pointing towards the cable car station so it shouldn’t be hard to find. Both the cable cars stations for Alpe di Siusi and Seceda are walking distance from Ortisie town centre. Enjoy.

Hi Ryan! Thanks for making these videos about travelling to Dolomites by train! As I'm going there next month by train as well and would like to check with you if you stayed at Bolzano and travelled to all the hikes by public transport? Thanks!
@RyanPelle7 ай бұрын
Hello 👋🏼 I travelled to Bolzano by train and then took the bus to Ortisie. There are plenty of areas in the Dolomites for hiking but I think Ortisie is perfect if you haven’t got a car as you can access plenty of hikes from there (as shown in my videos). So I stayed in Ortisie the whole time I was in the Dolomites.

@RyanPelle7 ай бұрын
Hello - if you’re coming from Ortisie there should only be one cable car that goes to Alpe Di Siusi. There are signposts all over town so it’s easy to follow. I took the same cable car on the way back to Ortisie.
@cozmyx253 ай бұрын
Hey, what was the price of the cable car? Will be going there in 3 weeks, can't wait 😁 Do you have any advice for Alpi di Susi? Or for Ortisei in general?
@RyanPelle3 ай бұрын
The Siusi cable car was €29 return. You can spend a whole day in that place. But if you don’t have plenty of time, pick a trail route ahead of time and stick to it. It’s so easy to get distracted once you’re there as there’s plenty to see. Have fun 🤩 Also, if you’re staying in Ortisie, the hotels hand out vouchers for free bus rides around the area and also access to a heated public swimming pool. Could be a good alternative in case in rains.

Hi Lin. Thanks for your feedback. Greatly appreciated :) there’s so many hiking trails in Alpe di Siusi depending on how much time youve got. Hi Ryan. Im planning to go to Dolomites next Sep/Oct. Cud u pls help me to adv the public transport from the airport to the Dolomites? Also, do u mind sharing the budget stay around there? Really appreciate your comments, man.
@RyanPelle8 ай бұрын
Hey man. That depends on which airport you land on. But there should be trains or buses from Venice airport to Bolzano. And I think there’s also an airport in Bolzano itself. So if you just want to do what I’ve done in this video i.e. Ortisie area (the Dolomites is massive) then you can take a bus from Bolzano to Ortisie. I made a video about this as well. It should be in the Italy playlist. Budget wise, i paid around €200 for my 3-day stay at Garni Panoramik. Then I spent around €100 for cable cars and food whilst hiking. I had free breakfast from the hotel. Dinner cost around €25. Obviously you can do all these for cheap depending on your budget. The only thing that you can’t change is the price of the cable cars. You can also hike up the mountain to avoid paying the cable car but I didn’t have time on my side so had to use the cable cars. Hope this helps. Enjoy the Dolomites!

This is very far north in Italy close to the borders with France and Sweden. This is the kind of region where Giuseppe Verdi is from. Verdi is from Busetto which is further west in a little south but the beauty of the land is very similar. Verdi was very connected to the land that he grew up in and I can see why.
@RyanPelle2 жыл бұрын
France is actually further west from the Dolomites and Sweden is much much further north. But I agree that Giuseppe Verdi is from the region close to the Dolomites, which I imagine would have influenced his compositions. It's one of the most beautiful part of the world and I envy anyone who lives in and around the area.
