Adam and Eve did not have three sons, they actually only had two sons explicitly mentioned, Kain and Abel, and one of them was a murder and killed the other son. However, Genesis 5:4 speaks of "their sons and daughters", so apparently they had more children later on. So reproduction would have been possible, yet it would still have been incest.
