Ive had Sony D10 for the past 6 years, but regretted since the first day due to boomy base response. Everytime I use it (rarely), I stick a ball of socks in the bass-chute to reduce the boominess. Under 10,000 rupees, I do not think you can do better than Logitech THX Z623/Z625 which I have used as my daily-driver for 3 years. Punchy bass, clear mids - Loud AF.

Feels like a promotional video. Because whatever you said, doesn't match with any of them. SONY has a good soundstage which feels very live because of the High and Mid Tones which are so very well tuned. Only Sub-Bass is missing which is a bit less in compared to OBAGE. But here in OBAGE you can easily differentiate the Highs and Mids Tones, Mids are fully recessed, feels very narrower to listen and Highs are bit boosted which feels unnatural, only the Sub Bass is doing great.

Obage speakers r good but their hardware fails soon.. i had bought ht 301. Though the sound was good but just after 2 yrs, its speakers started making rattling sound due to some issue in subwoofer. Also its had some volume control issues. Volume automatically used to get to default 16 if u decreased vol from ur mobile by just 1 even. So u cant go out of ur room n tinker with the volume. Remote obviously wont work from outside the room

7:03 the low notes highly depend on the room you are currently in for ex: if your room is of a perfect size where the upper bass frequency length matches the room dimensions, then that frequency will heavily get amplified(room acoustics) hence outdoor or a very well treated room should be used for testing speakers. and another thing, low bass should be strong and upper bass should be weak isn't good, it's actually bad, the best is when all the sounds are at the same level (flat frequency response). I'm not defending sony or obage, it's the reality!!

The most important point being: DT51 has woofer, squawker (mid range) and tweeter in wooden box, which serves as perfect baffle. Plastic enclosures just cannot match the sound vibration absorption quality that wood provides. Vineet, your video was perfect. (Unfortunately, most buyers just read product description and go for it, irrespective whether the product does give dolby atmos or not!

Vineet, I disagree with your comparison. For it is not an Apple to Apple comparison. Sony is a pseudo 4.1 Ch speaker system and Obage is a non satellite speaker system or simply called tower speakers. In short the speaker system category is not the same in terms of configuration and design. Durability is also one of the aspect you need to look into. Many of these unknown brands use generic USB /Card readers and amplifier circuits that do not last in terms of quality and also support limited audio codecs such as MP3 and AAC but no support for Hi Res audio. BTW...the description as Home theater speaker is misleading. The same with on-line retailers which is listed by the makers.

I have been personally using Obage even before I started reviewing products and they are still rock solid. I agree with your point of Retailers calling these as Home Theatre systems is wrong, but we can't do anything about it. And, I understand that Apples have to be compared with Apples but the main point is is not 4.1 vs Tower, it is the audio quality, frequency response of both systems. Vineetji,Obage dt 51 or dt 2605--koun sa better hai? (Not bassed on loudness,but quality music-bass,vocal,high notes).. Specs wise dt2605 better lagta hai,but dt51 is newly launced Ak ko lena hai...Thanks..........
