Honestly that pink insulation tent and the aqua grill is a nice color palette! 😂 It's nice to know about the actual flame resistance of those stove jack fabrics! That homemade stove is AWESOME!! Thank you for the kind words! We work hard to source quality products and we believe this is the best year round cabin style tent. Hot tent in the winter and well ventilated for the summer. Of course it won’t hot tent as well as an insulated style tent, but it gets the job done in most cases.

So I was doing some research and found this product that was invented over 3365 years ago! They're called gloves, and they're amazing at protecting your hands from injury or burns. You should really check them out if you can possibly find some! 😂😂 I do think instead of keyrings i would add some bakelite knobs so you can use the damper and door without gloves. Nice stove otherwise. It's also great that the grill company stepped up on the giveaway!

Another great episode! I have the Russian Bear Up-5. One complaint I have is the stove ring which consists of 2 stainless rings that your pipe goes through. If memory serves me correctly, these rings are only 3/12 inches in diameter so you are limited to what size you can use. I have several larger wood stoves and a diesel heater that you need a reducer to get through the stove jack. With the small stove pipe, I had problems my first time out because I didn't have enough piping to create a good draw. This caused smoke to build in the stove, then BELCH and blow the lid up, filling the tent with smoke.
@AdventureswithSpackmann
@AdventureswithSpackmann 7 ай бұрын
Belch like the wood gases ignited? Any way to cut the rings out? Is there other fire resistant material after the rings? Thanks for sharing your experience and for watching.
@wesschimpf5155
@wesschimpf5155 7 ай бұрын
Yeah, like she burped smoke! Not great at 3:00 a.m. Can't see a way of removing the rings without ruining that part of the tent. I like to run a bigger stove so you don't have to wake up as much, you can get 5-6 hours of good sleep.

I was out in Late November in Alberta. It was warmer than usual, maybe getting down to 27F-28F at night. Having brought the larger stove, I was laying on my cot sweating. I tried to damper my stove down to a comfortable temp.With the low draw on my stove, smoke would build up until it would blow the lid up. I had to keep the stove hotter and all the doors and windows open to stop this from happening.@UCHw86-LEs4kzFTTvwLxelcw
