Best Hotel in St. Maarten: Divi Little Bay Beach Resort

We stayed at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort in St. Maarten before our cruise. This resort is in a beautiful location and a great place for a vacation or adventure travelers who love water sports and want to get in some diving and snorkeling.

It's the best place to stay during the Heineken Regatta... I stayed in a suite right above the Restaurant/Bar area 5:51 I cannot describe the view and the sound of the waves hitting the shore & rocks... I slept like a baby for 10 days... Took awesome video of cruise ships, Super Yachts and sailing boats every day... I only used the gym at Divi a couple of times and that was it... There was WAY too much going on in St. Maarten to stay inside the resort area. A lot of older adults seemed "stuck" inside the resort... I would jump in my car and a few minutes later I was on Front Street, Back Street, Kim Sha Beach, eating at Chesterfield's, etc... Marigot, Friar's Bay, Parades in Grand Case every Wed. Night - I saw 2 of them!!! I was lucky enough to catch the Carnival of Saint Martin(French Side) too!!! After all that partying I went to Anguilla for a week of R&R... That's how you do it!!! How was the staffing at the resort and island? Some places I have traveled to have LONG wait times for food and drinks.

Yeah. Same here. You'll likely face the same situation here. We got nice quick service for dinner at the bar/restaurant. But check in lines were long up front.

I stayed there once, it was cheap and alright for our first visit. Went back a few years later and stayed at grand case, there is no comparison. I will only stay on the French side in the future. Little divi is a very nice resort but the location on the island is less desirable, I didn't feel safe in Phillipsburg
