Hey brother,when your fishnet is full and you catch a trophy or big one that's worth a lot off money and or xp you just go to your inventory and click on your fishnet and trow away the cheapest fish untill you can get that big one in the net,but it's only possible to do that with a fishnet,not with a stringer or fishjail like they call it.You can even do it directly when you caught that fish you will see the key for fishnet,press the key for fishnet and trow away the least money and xp fish(es) untill it fits into your net. This is for all the beginning players like me,i didn't know that aswell when i just started at Lone Star Lake.Good luck and have fun,brother!

I know this is an older video, but did you figure out that if you catch a fish, and your net is full if you open your keep net when the fish comes up, can't remember what key it is on pc, but you can release smaller ones to keep the big one.

I would have to know exactly what tackle you have but generally speaking, certain tackle only work with certain rod/reel types. I recommend saving for a spin rod and fishing for bass at Lone Star. Then buy an affordable feeder rod that can handle some of the fish you are targeting with your telecast.

No problem. The devs have nerfed some of the spots. The spot is still mostly works but you may need to switch up the bait. Try pet food, small cutbait, and blood. You can also spin fish. I'm on PC. Shift + 1, 2, 3 or 4 will switch between rods. Not sure if there is anything on console/controller. I use controller in PC but there is no hot buttons that I can find.

I use a # 2 hook with a bobber and small cutbait. I throw my bobber out to the spot that you see him do it right away in the video. My sure you set your leader length to max. I think it’s 98 inches

You can catch hem with a spin setup but i forgot what it as. Best to google it,brother. And i think they tell you in the game asweel when you look at the catfish species.,not sure though but i know it's possible. Normally you catch catfish with a chad lure in Russian Fishing 4 but that is a simulator,not a fishing game like Fishing Planet but i bet it works here too.Good luck and have fun,brother!.

Try using a pumping action when you reel. Sometimes fish charge you and it gives more like than you can reel. I find using pumping action helps.

InJailOutLater I have some tips: 1: Don’t make fast hooksets. What you want to do is put your drag on the first arrow. Then when a catfish bites, reel that in on the first drag for a few seconds, then if it’s on, put the drag up to the 4th arrow and bring it in 2: Check your line. A lot of people I know bring like 3 or 4 pound test to catch 10+ pound fish. Make sure your line is a good size (I recommend fluorocarbon or braid) and good weight, and that your line is not on the brink of breaking. 3: Keep hook size in mind. So, if your fishing for catfish at Mudwater River, don’t bring size 6 hooks. And also, don’t bring size 7/0 hooks. I recommend 3/0 or 4/0 with pet food or small or medium cutbait. 4: Do an up-down motion. Here’s what I mean: When you’re making the retrieve and reeling in the fish, bring your rod up, and then let it back down. 5: follow the line. What I mean by this is, if your fish is on the right and your tilting your rod to the lift, it’s gonna pull out drag or even break your line! So, don’t tilt your rod to the side, and kind of turn yourself wherever the line is. (I hope you get what I mean. If not, this step isn’t extremely important, it’s ok) *and that should do it, sorry it’s so long, and maybe a little extra. This is just my advice and what I do to catch the catfish. And also, I caught a 10 pound trophy with this technique*

You only see dots with Spin and Casting rods. It takes practice but mainly its just reeling in and stopping for a sec or two then repeat. Also try adjusting your reel speed to 2 or 3, although it should work on all 4 speeds.
