Here is a tip that works well for me: use some feeder rod (in my case CreekPro 9"10) be on same spot where charles is , use grass hopers for bait and toss it a bit left from lily pads. I caught 2 trophy rainbow trouts in 5 minutes! It works best in morning from 5-8 am.

It's ok if the terminal tackle is light sometimes. It will still cast about 75% of the distance and you'll still catch many fish.

if you notice where the fog is rolling out from the rocks just past that log, if you take 10lbs line, #2 hook, and use shiners and cast as close the the left into that creek inlet " the shallower the bigger!!!;)" you can catch 2.5 to 3.5 on avg with potential for 4.5+ almost all day best when sunny. good luck and happy fishing yall!!!

How’s come every single time I get someone decent on my line for trout, my line breaks? I use a 12 lb test and my line snaps every time!

Ok you may have your drag/tension up to high on your reel. The broken/dashed circle around your line length in the botton left. Although you want it as high as possible for faster reeling, you have to make sure it's not in the red or your line will snap. Bring it down one or two and if too low bring it back up until it's somewhat leaking red but not all the way to the top. Kinda like recording audio. Lol

@@CharlesMacro you reel in until you hear the reel start to spool/click, which will happen when the fish is starting to pull away. you stop reeling and lift the rod up, then drop and continue when the sound stops. After all its just a game, it doesnt really matter on technique, just have fun!

What you do when they keep hitting it but don't take it

Don't strike. Just keep reeling slowly as they take nibble and you see the tension. Let them take it on their own. Just continue slowly reeling. Alternatively, you can try to time your strike after letting them nibble seeing the blue bars of tension for a few seconds the. Just hit it. I use the first technique more at lakes like this with lighter fish. And the second with heavier like White Moose in Alberta.

Does this still work? Tried it today. Managed to catch 15 golden trout and countless rainbows and cutthroats but no uniques or trophy size. I need the 700 gram plus golden. Been stuck on this mission for days. Managed 1 trophy golden but it was short of the 700 grams and was cqught in the middle of the lake.
