Good video! I own the CC-100 and I think there's something that prospective buyers and current owners should be aware of; I thought the unit would handle cooling my cigars regardless of the ambient temperature in the room my unit was placed in. Well, last summer the temp of the room rose to high 80's and the inside of the CC-100 developed a lot of condensation. There was even a small puddle on the floor of the unit. I threw in a window mounted air conditioner and got the room temp to 72 and the unit functioned perfectly once again. Unfortunately, I did develop a bit of mold on my Ramon Allones sticks, but I caught the problem before it spread. The Ramon Allones were stored in the drawer- the highest spot in the unit, for what it's worth. To sum up; don't rely on the unit to function properly above the high 70's - use air conditioning if you're in that situation.
@JeremySiers5 жыл бұрын
Good info, thanks for letting us know. I have personally never had that issue in over a year with the cc-100h buuut.....my house never really gets about mid 70’s, maaaybe high 70’s on a rare occasion. So it’s never having to work to cool the unit more than around 10-15 degrees of the ambient temp. I would imagine there are limits to how much temp swing it can handle. I suppose that’s why they don’t recommend it for outside use. 😉

New subscriber.... just saw this video. Years ago, I was on a cigar forum where guys made these things on the reg. There were seriously new builds posted every day. There were other guys that were into woodworking that would make shelves and cedar linings and sell them to people doing their builds. Looks like someone finally made it into a business. Good on them! The prices you quoted aren't too bad, considering the work and materials you'd have to put into making one on your own. And you have EXCELLENT taste in cigars, brother! Although sadly lacking in Illusione or Tatuaje, which are two of my favorites.

I currently live in FL and even with the AC running the humidity inside is on the high side. But I still never had one that would hold a good seal to keep it high enough. Been thinking about buying one of these but the reviews are so bad on Amazon and a few other sites. I guess I'll end up pullin the trigger and buying the extended warranty lol Appreciate the review. I saw a Flying Pig box. One of my favorite smokes. From what I could see ya have rock solid collection, homie.

Now I have only had the big unit for a few month so I can say long term on that one yet. But the small one I have had for well over a year now and never had a minutes trouble with it. And thanks! I have the cc-300 but it does not hold too many. I use it for my singles and it is pretty full with only about 250 in there. I have about 700 sticks in total so I end up storing all the boxes 2 in large coolers. Hoping to consolidate the collection into a proper cabinet eventually but they cost a good 4-5k. I always end up buying a few boxes of cubans instead of a cabinet. I have too many hobbies to get to that level. One day!

Solid review brother. I enjoy your videos very much. I bought the Newair 281E and don’t really need the heating element due to the area I have in my home and constant controlled indoor temp. After three months have you had any issues with your Cigar Oasis 3.0 plus? Are you running through the drain plug or the tape out the door? Do you have just the one hydrometer in the large large one? I live in Tampa (Cigar city) Thanks for the great vids and keep up the great work!
@JeremySiers5 жыл бұрын
Thanks👍🏻 I run it with the tape out the front. Also put a little piece of electric tape over it where the seal is just to help it not move around. I haven’t had any real issues with it. I am considering switching the unit over to Boveda though. The oasis works well, keeps the humidity up with no issues. I think I just prefer the no hassle accuracy of Boveda. I have had to recalibrate the oasis a couple times because it was off on the humidity. It’s a mechanic device so there is always the possibility of it being dead on. With Boveda you just kinda throw them in there and forget it. Sorry for the long winded answer 😉😂

I had a couple questions on the CC-300H if you wouldn't mind weighing in: 1) How accurate has the temp been for you? I've heard some reviewers saying it can be off by 1-5 degrees all that way to almost 10 degrees off what the display says. 2) Is the cigar Oasis the only thing you use in it for humidity regulation? And have you run into any issues with over humidification of your sticks? 3) Its been a while now since this was posted, how consistent has your humidity/temp been in general? Any wild differences is humidity at the top vs the bottom? Thanks in advance!

Quick question for you. Say I wanted to use a Cigar Oasis humidifier for either unit. Is there a small pluggable hole or some way to get the power cord in/out of the humidor? I know it has a built in reservoir, and I usually use boveda but when I upgrade, this will be the most space I’ve ever had to humidify. So just curious on best options for humidity. Thanks for the video! They look great stacked like that. I’m sending this video to my wife as a Christmas hunt :). Smoke em and enjoy em!
@JeremySiers5 жыл бұрын
I’d stick with Boveda. Get some of the big 320g boxes. I ended up switching mine to Boveda after a few months. The calibration on the Oasis kept acting a little strange. So I was worried it would over or under humidify my cigars. Boveda is just easy and works great. Don’t have to worry about all the BS. Just my opinion 😉👍🏻

I wish they made an even smaller one for someone who really likes to take care of her cigars (yes, I'm single, love cigars, single malt, and bourbon - but I'm old) but I only keep at most a couple of boxes, so both of these units would be too big. Any suggestions for a smaller one? The price, by the way, is expected. I've paid way more for my wine coolers/fridges. And living in Vegas, I got your high temps beat in the summer. Of course, sometimes the humidity is 8%.

Cigars, whiskey, and single!! Your a unicorn 😂. Somebody should snatch you up regardless of your age 😉. I’ve never seen a cooler style humidor smaller than the cc-100. But it really is fairly compact. It might work well for you if you store a couple boxes. Give you plenty of room with out crowding things. And give you some space Incase you ever need to store a little more. And at 8% humidity I would think this style of humidor would be great. Dang 8%....that is loooow. It never gets that dry here. Couple of questions: what model of cigar oasis do you have in the bottom unit, and how long would you say it runs between fillups, im asking for vacation reasons when I'll be gone for 2 to 2 1/2 weeks?? Are you still happy with the oasis size or would you get something larger?? Would a oasis unit be overkill for the top unit?? Thanks for your help on this matter, I'm thinking of buying both units.
