I've been thinking of doing something similar with a bucket. Great job on this and thanks for the video!

I've been perusing DIY hook setters for a while, and yours is A1+ Love the simplicity/ingenuity, AND who doesn't have buckets!?!?!?!? if you could find a Y joint (that one is ABS by the way, PVC is white, or grey) of just the right size for a snug fit, no fish is going to pull your rod AND bucket down a hole!

Terrific idea. Think I’ll try this. One suggestion, get away from the orange Home Depot pails. They get brittle very easily.

Just used a metal coat hanger and bent it to shape. When your line is pulled over it and its pulled on by a fish it releases.

I can cary 8 jaw jackers in that bucket. I cant carry 8 buckets???
@kylebradley77514 жыл бұрын
With the amount of money you’d save you could buy a jet sled to carry the buckets. And still have money left for hookers and blow. JK lol. Jaw jackers are pricey though. I’ve made my own from pvc and they’re about the size of the jaw jackers for literally a few bucks

This whole thing is dumb.. I own store bought units, and copied them to make my own. that UL ugly stick with that much trigger length… and light mono.. good luck with that unless you’re in 8 foot of water.. lame
