Upon what do you base this opinion? I have kept Pekes for over 40 years. I have had four, and am due to get my fifth. My dogs all lived to be 13 plus.

Why do you say this? Have you ever kept a Pekingese? I have kept them for over 40 years and they do not suffer. The breed dates back 2,000 years. That ancestry shows they are a good breed.
