The thing about this home made 1 is that itll probably cost close to buying a smart incubator. You have to make sure the temperture will be 37/38° OR 100• to hatch the eggs and you have to rotate it every few hrs manually. Good thing is you can hatch more eggs. Only if you have the time to do manual stuff or unless your best off with a smart incubator which will heat and do all the rotating itself

I made a incubator out of a Styrofoam 1 inch thick cooler. I put in 3 bricks to moderate temperature . Household thermometer only. NO thermostat. Takes couple of days to heat up with small bulb,but the temperature is very constant. All alive after 7 days except 2 cracked.

Newborn Chicks Fully Feathered With in 24 Hours...You Can Kept The Chicks In Incubator Till 24 to 36 Hours.....If Some Chicks Didn't Hatch Even After Day 22 Then Remove The Already Hatched Chicks from the Incubator and Kept them in Brooder (Brooder is Nothing But a Warm Place Where Chicks Can Live for a Week and Brooder Temperature Should Be Between 30°C to 34°C)....Hopefully You Understand...All the Best

at the Time We Made this Incubator then it was Winter Season Temperature Always Stays Below the 41 Degree and With Two 15 Watts Bulbs Temperature Fluctuates Between 36 to 39 Degrees Hence We Didn't Use Thermostat...But We Recommend to Use W3001 Temperature Controller for Better Results...All the Best
