My 2nd grade son brought home a little bird he rescued one day. It was in a Dixie cup. We took care of it and eventually dad built “Jackie” an outdoor aviary right outside our kitchen window. Jackie would sit on my son’s shoulder and eat kitchen scraps from the window. She lived for 12 years!!! What a wonderful gift.

He's putting the eggs in an incubator for a set amount of time and once that time is up, he checks them with a light to see if there is an embryo forming inside as shown in the video. If there is one, he leaves it to incubate further until it hatches.

My largemouth bass passed away at ten years old yesterday morning. Would always be staring at me when I woke up and always wanted attention. Was definitely as smart, like a crow or raven. I'm sure if it had the means it would've learned to speak, it sure tried to imitate mouth movements enough. I'm gonna miss em', already do. Not going to raise another one though, they belong in lakes. I spent over $12k to make that fish's life comfortable and happy, and nature fought me every step of the way. It moved with me multiple times, can't even begin to explain my stress of moving a giant old fish hours in a vehicle. It's long journey is at an end now.

I had a pet quail who was snow white, with a black spot on her back, we called her Sunshine. We had dogs and cats and yet she got along with them fine. She had the entire living room to herself all day to free range. One morning when I went to let her out before school, I found that she'd passed away. I was so devastated that I just held her and silently cried for an hour. It was devastating. But she lived a long full life. I'll always miss you and your chirping music, Sunshine 💙

It's a lie. Eggs at the supermarket are sterile. The only eggs that will hatch have to have a rooster fertilizer them. I raise chickens I got two rooster. A friend asked me for eggs because he wanted to hatch some. I gave him 20 eggs I had collected but they were sitting in my basement for a few weeks. None of them hatched even being fertilized. The egg has to stay with the hen or move under a heat lamp in order for it to hatch. If the egg is removed from the heat for a long period. The embro will die and the egg will no longer hatch.

I just returned to this channel after a handful of years. You inspired me to start raising quail of my own, and I am pleased to report that I have a large male named Wrecker that has lived FOUR YEARS now. At this point, every day with him is a gift. If your little friend begins to show his age some day, I would be happy to pass along what I've done to keep my old boy on his feet. I am currently trying to breed companion quail, as I find they are very good little pets that adore being with people if raised close to them. As a quail owner the last 12 years, I've done this pretty much the same, quails are very overlooked, they have such fascinating personalities and are very loving to their humans. My oldest lived to 6 years old. My last one passed away on December the 30th. But I still have many great videos and photos and all the good memories of them. Even the ones I hatched from babies too. Love your videos.

They are truly affectionate when you hatch them and raise them like that. I had a lot of quails the past 4 years. My oldest one just past away last month. She used to greet me and hung out with my very large rabbit, Black Betty. Just a sweet little creature. I'm happy Albert's legacy keeps going (and you have a new friend) ❤️

@Ahelete The eggs must be fertilized. & then they must be put an incubator for the life to begin to form. Then he will check for life. You will not merely crack one open & the quail falls out (or at least it’s very rare; happened once to me as a kid & it destroyed me). The egg will still just be an egg when you go to eat it. There are steps he’s taking to try to hatch an egg that might be fertilized & still viable.
