India has so many amazing and delicious foods across its entire country. With a huge Indian population in Singapore, we were so happy to get a sampling of foods we normally wouldn't try back home. Hopefully you can try all of them too!

Goreng pisang is part of malay cuisine, not Malaysian food. We even have Chinese style goreng pisang 😅 Some Indians in SG are Indian Muslim, that explains why some of these stalls have malay food as well.

Would like to highlight something, there's a india flag in your thumbnail picture. The local indians(Singaporeans) are uniquely Singaporean just like the chinese and malays, Singapore is multi racial nation build by all of our forefathers to where it is today - the local indians got nothing to do with india 😅 best if you could remove the india flag out of the thumbnail. Most of whom you see in little india(tekka) are foreigners with a little bit of locals,it will be filled with locals during festive season(diwali) while they festive shop, the whole area lighted up colourfully and extremely congested 😅

To really enjoy eating the briyani, one does not need cutlery let alone a knife. There is a sink nearby where you can wash your hands before getting stuck into your briyani, using your hands. If you look around, you would notice some locals doing that and I feel it would taste a whole better, talking from first hand experience myself. After the meal, you can wash your hands again. Always use your right hand to eat, NEVER with your left. Tekka Centre is always a must for me when I fly in from Australia.
