Cats are like adult humans, you usually have to earn their trust, be nice to them and they’ll be nice back. Dogs are like toddlers, love you even if you’re a horrible person and crave attention. Cats are awesome. Even if a cat switches and attacks you, you get some scratches. If a dog switches then you’re in the hospital. My autistic brother has been attacked by loads of dogs for no reason so in my mind dogs are horrible whereas cats are nice to him and have never attacked him

Y'all need to educate yourselves on cats. Cats have boundaries that need to be respected, they are not like dogs. If you have a cat and you don't give a shit about their boundaries, you will get scratched. There is clear body language and signs. I've raised both of my kitties and they are some of the most cuddly and lovely cats that would never scratch or bite me. But if you want an obedient toy, there are some dog breeds that are specifically for that. Just don't use the same general rule for all of the domestic animals. Dogs have boundaries too that need to be respected, but they are vastly different.

I hate the stereotype of cats. I don't think people know the difference between a cat being an asshole to a cat being playful or being man-handled to the point of aggression. Cats are fine, they just won't do whatever you tell them like dogs. Ive trained my 2 cats the same moves my dog knows. I.e sit, lay, roll, high five and play dead as well as knowing their names. But in the end of the day if they don't want to do it, they won't. If you want an animal to pick up and annoy the shit out of sure get a dog. But better get a stuffed toy cause even with dogs it isn't great to act like that around them. Treat your pets as pets, they have their own needs. The difference is if you annoy a cat they'll smack you, still your fault for being a pest, let the cat be a cat.
