He's a great player. For a different type of amazing technique, check out Allan Mearns (Yes The Raven) and the song BELLS or JOSEPHINE. Amazing technique, sense of melody on the guitar and vocally. Very haunting songs.

If you like Plini you should check out Intervals. I saw a tour that was Plini, Intervals and Animals as Leaders. Plini and Intervals was the same members. Plini and Aaron Marshall just switched positions on stage and played the other bands songs. By the way, I could be wrong but I think the name is pronounced PLEENY. The drummer Troy Wright is leaps and bounds better than Lars.

I’ve found with many of these newer guitar prog bands this same problem, I’ll watch hoping to be impressed and end up with a bland experience. I get it, they play really well, but I don’t desire a repeat listen at all.
