I can't tell you how many nightmares that single skeleton dude at the boys window scene gave me as a kid in the 80's. Loved the terror that the Creepshow gave me as a boy and it's why I absolutely love the horror genre.

*me as a father, hears creepy laughter as I'm about to chuck the comic book in the trash, takes it back upstairs * my bad, son, you can read this shit all you want

...Because at the age of 9 seeing the creeper outside your window smiling at night always makes you feel safe and cozy enough to smile back... because seeing him brings happiness to your heart... and that laughter.... Such loving and warm laughter....

The music, the color, the practical effects make this movie one of the creepiest ever. I remember seeing it when I was 4 years old, yeah my dad was something else. The only two phobias I have(Roaches and Sharks) probably stemmed from watching these classic horror movies at such a young age. I still admire them though.

Doesn’t want his son reading a scary comic book yet is alright with all the monster posters and toys in his room.... how does that work?
@buckfozos55542 жыл бұрын
Wow that is a great point I never considered! Doesn't make sense that the kid would have all that stuff already in his room.

Wow, I didn’t know that was Stephen King’s son...the writer Joe King. You can totally see King in his facial features.

One of my favorite feel-good movies I've worn out of VHS and a DVD already I'm on my third copy, Stephen King and George Romero nailed this one they stitched it together just like your reading a 50's comic book and it is truly a cult classic

Raoul the Skeleton host looks like HBO's version of The Cryptkeeper and it makes sense with EC comics being an inspiration to this movie and later adapted on TV, i'm guessing the makers of Tales from the Crypt the HBO series love this movie besides the comics of EC and used Raoul as an inspiration to their own Cryptkeeper on design

That shows ya right there that ya shouldn't go slappin' yer kid around for reading a Horror Comic Book, when you claim to be "Religious", & yet ya got yer own little stash of sex magazines hidden underneath yer undies there, huh, dad? As far as I'm concerned, the "Religious Hypocrite" dad got exactly what he deserved! But wait-that's not all he's gonna get. There's a certain place called The Lake of Fire and Brimstone that our "friend" the dad is going to...and he'll never get out of there. Ever!
