Everyone speaks about long term investing and goals but never on short term goals and investing avenues. But, short term also is equally necessary, so thank you so much for covering such an important aspect and explaining it so easily. Great job 👌😍

If liquidity is not of paramount importance, and during current times of low interest rates, it's a very difficult choice between FD's vs Debt funds considering post tax returns as both are barely able to beat inflation and offer any real returns This choice becomes more difficult for NRI customers since NRE FD's are tax free compared to potentially taxable captial gains in Debt funds
@knayak60624 ай бұрын
Keeping large money in savings account for emergency is recommended as you get negligible interest. It us better to open a sweep-in account ( or whatever name your bank has given), whereby any excess funds over your specified fund automatically gets used to open a FD. In case of emergency ,if there is a shortfall in the SB ac, FD is automatically redeemed instantaneously and money is transferred to your SBac. This way you get the higher interest on your unused money alongwith liquidity for emergency.

Wonderful video Sir!! It was the need of the hour, indeed. I wanted to ask a silly question. Is it possible to review the holdings' performance in your mutual fund portfolio by using a software tool or platform on a day-to-day basis?
@ETMONEY3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes, you can use the ETMONEY app to track and invest in funds. Our portfolio updation happens on a daily basis. What's more, it doesn't matter if you have funds that you bought in some other platform, simply do a portfolio upload (PDF) and we'll be able to track & give you the updated performance of all your funds in one place
@amritrajk53123 жыл бұрын
@@ETMONEY a small clarification. It's not the performance of the portfolio itself for which I myself use etmoney, but that of the companies in it.

In case of Emergency funds, e.g. if iam choosing a short term fund do I need to sell after 3-4 months and reinvest or can I continue to be invested into it. Would appreciate the understanding on this.
@ETMONEY3 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can continue to remain invested. A good way of looking at it is that an emergency fund is a 'keep aside' money and hopefully it doesnt come into use. So safety + liquidity should be prime variables here.

What is AA- credit rating ? Does it mean the risk is higher?
@ETMONEY2 жыл бұрын
OK, so AA means instruments that considered to have high degree of safety regarding timely servicing of financial obligations. As such these instruments carry very low credit risk. Now + or - reflects the comparative standing of the paper within the category Source: www.crisil.com/en/home/our-businesses/ratings/credit-ratings-scale.html

Hello Sir! I’m currently pursuing engineering (2nd year). I have 2.5 years remaining for my master’s degree to start and I need to invest for like 2.5-3 years. I work part time. So I can pull like 10k every month. So should I go with something safe like FD or try investing something with higher returns.

Explore a balanced advantage fund like ICICI. These funds invest in equity and debt and regulate the proportion on the basis of how the market's valuation. Another benefit is the equity taxation part which means capital gain tax will be between 10 to 15%. You can find details of this category of funds on etmoney.com. Do research and invest only if you are comfortable with it. Pls remember - no fund is without some risk, it's the level of risk that you need to judge

Now is the right time. If you really want to grow your money and attain financial independence. Start investing, that's the best way to accumulate wealth. Spent my 30s and 40s investing in stock and several multifamily real estates. That’s the best I did for myself as it has consistently beaten my expectations of a return. Lately, discovered ¢rypto, and life feels better.
